Hello... few months back a friend of mine told me to blog my thoughts anonymously. What started as a blog post has now become an extensive discussion on pornography which just kept getting longer as over a decade of locked up thoughts started to spill out. I've since deleted the blog and have decided to leave whoever ends up interested with an article detailing my criticisms and hopes for the adult industry. Problem is, I don't really know where or who to give this thing to.

Right now I'm on the second to last chapter and the raw word count is 36,671. There are going to be 26 chapters with the following names: 1) On why I'm here. 2) On what I’ve been up to. 3) On the concept of experience. 4) On sex as an art form. 5) On mainstream and artful pornography.
6) On storylines and acting. 7) On the evils of cutting. 8) On cinematography. 9) On setting. 10) On sexual elegance. 11) On sensuality and foreplay. 12) On sexiness. 13) On making love for the camera. 14) On the art of licking. 15) On the art of fingering. 16) On the art of the dildo. 17) On the art of orgasm. 18) On oral and anal sex. 19) On transsexuals. 20) On fetishes. 21) On tasteful lingerie. 22) On oil and sploshing. 23) On sex machines. 24) On tentacles. 25) On beastiality. 26) On my dream.

As you can tell, some of the content will probably not be acceptable here. But I feel like I've written far too much for it to get thrown away. I don't really have the experience or time to try to get anywhere far with this. I'm not really an active writer or anything of the sort, and have never been active in any erotica communities. All I can hope is that someone will actually read what I've written and perhaps be influenced in some way. I don't know. Any suggestions on who I can give this to? Should I let an editor fix it up? Should I trash it and move on?

If you do not care to be named with the work - then perhaps it can be published on Lit as a series of anonymous letters or articles.

36000 words is more than I normally take on because my life is generally full but if you have no schedule or rush, it sounds interesting. You may PM if you are interested in having it slowly edited over a period of many months. Others may well do it overnight.

Once finished, or perhaps chapter by chapter, you could post it in various categories. Literotica might publish essays on any of the topics you mentioned. The nature of the essay would determine whether you intended it to be erotic or informative.

That much work should not be deleted without having at least a second reader review it.

Bestiality is the one that jumps out as generally unacceptable content here.

However in your case I'd really suggest to contact Laurel about it. As I understand it's not an erotic story, it's more about these things. And that may or may not be acceptable to her if it's not written with the intent to arouse the reader.

And have you considered self-publishing on say Amazon or Smashwords? Afaik they do accept free books (I suppose you're not very interested in getting paid, or you wouldn't consider posting hit here). No idea on their acceptance policies, I haven't used either service. Just an idea.

It sound like these are more essays on the various topics, and Lit has a "Reviews & Essays" section. Each chapter could be posted as a chapter there, since as others have noted, this doesn't seem like a story.

Yes, it's much more like a bunch of essays detailing what I like and don't like about the things I've seen in adult film (not literature). I feel like the community is good here and it makes me glad that there are people who willingly volunteer to help other people out. If I get my stuff edited here then I wouldn't want to submit it anywhere else. I'm torn between just submitting the essays or having them edited. I do run through each paragraph way too many times and change it over and over again, but I tend to lack the time to work on cohesiveness of an entire chapter (although some are really short). I guess an editor could also warn me of what wouldn't be acceptable on literotica. There's a lot of controversial things (usually opinions) in here.

I guess I could start with the first five chapters. It's only a bit over 2,500 words. As a musician I'm always taught that a third party opinion tends to be the most truthful as long as they don't have an active grudge. I do feel safer here than going out into the big Amazon sea of things though o.o

That's average 500 words a chapter, below the minimum required 750 for a story to be published. Keep that in mind if you want to publish them as separate chapters.

This is specifically for the stories sections; limit may be different for "reviews&essays" and "how-to" section. Not sure about that.
