I want to be a "Christian Life Coach".

Well, for one, since there is no God, very much i would think.

Try writing your own religion like Ron Hubbard and make some cash instead.

Not sure what they would do, so I really can't answer

They point to God, the infinite love from Jesus, and Bible teachings as answers to difficult life & marriage problems.

This, coupled with a schlock understanding of Psych 101 could net you 100K+/yr.

Does it involved wind sprints?

Yes. But you get God's help.

I think that means he puts the wind at your back.

Really I never met any of those people that made over 100 K a year.

All the ones I met made in the 30 to 40 k, and they had taken 4 years of training to get there.

4 years of training. That's hilarious.

sounds to me like it is some kind counselling job, and psychology stuff.

I tend to think most of that stuff is a bunch of crap, so it is hard to get a view out of me either way.

Christian or not I wouldn't waste any money talking to some person, and people that do want to pay deserve to lose their money on that stuff.

Actually I don't think anyone could do that kind of job unless they had a gift or (don't laugh) calling for it. And if you weren't cut out for that kind of counselling position, it wouldn't be worth any amount of money. And for most in that kind of profession I don't think the money is why they do it.

I understand it takes the equivalent of about a Masters degree to be proficient enough to hang out your shingle. Most have finished college and attended (if not completed) some Seminary.

God spoke to me and said I should become one. I'll share this with my customers, too.

I think it would be very hard. To help people keep faith and help them through troubling times at the same time? That's got to be difficult and stressful.
I'll believe they make big bucks when I see it.

Well you as an accountability coach does have an amusing touch to it. I'll be interested to know how that works out for you.

I think your idea of helping someone to be accountable from the sense of a Christian Life Coach... and what others' think it is, would probably be a bit different and therefore interesting to follow.

Being accountable for your Christian walk is very serious for some and what I imagine to be a large part of the duties of such a "coach."

If someone doesn't beleive in what they are doing than they are going to live a miserable life.

Unless of course that person is shallow enough to enjoy living a fake life.

I know. That's why I find it so damn funny.

Excuse me, you might think this really strange and it could just be the AV you're using, but have you and I conversed at another place and time? Just wondering...

From what I saw in a page on Christian life coaches, they just try to help you achieve goals and work through problems.

why is it so outrageous that a Christian should do this as a living?

What has a guy like Tony Robbins really done to sell those Videos on TV? He just read a bunch of stuff from other people he knew, had some charisma to market it and makes a ton of money. From what I have been able to find, he has no real credentials at all to back up his knowledge.

If some guy like Tony Robbins can go and make millions by teaching someone else's work, why can't some Christian coach others to achieve goals?

Hahahaha. Wow.

It's probably my AV. I have not chatted with anyone on lit before.

Oh wait a minute was that a "have we met before" pickup line?
