Ugh, that's a horrid combination! My stomach churns at the thought, and my head reels also.
At one of the restaurants hubby worked at they had a cocktail called a green goblin. It had absinthe, green chartreuse and something else, maybe creme de menthe, I'm not sure. These things were incredibly strong and not customer ever had more than 2. Hubby sat down to 5 one night. Needless to say he required help down the stairs.

I don't care much for insanely strong things. I'm not an easy drunk, but alcoholism runs in my family and I don't want to push my luck. I do enjoy a few things from time to time, but I dont drink a ton of stuff.

Nothings beats good wine at a romantic dinner for two, after all.

I don't care much for insanely strong things. I'm not an easy drunk, but alcoholism runs in my family and I don't want to push my luck. I do enjoy a few things from time to time, but I dont drink a ton of stuff.

I ruined wine for myself as a teenager by drinking way too much cheap port and also way too much fruity lexia cask wine. I find the occasional white that I like, but every red that goes under my nose reminds me of vomiting a lire and a half of port when I was 16. It was not pretty. I can relate to the alcoholism in the family too and go through waves of drinking. I'm coming out of one now, which is good timing so I can give myself a break before Christmas and NYE.

Cocktail slushies are awesome, though become difficult and time consuming to make after you've had a few. New Years is one of the few times I bother.
(side note; I feel sorry for you northern hemisphere people having to celebrate NYE in Winter.)
