I want candy....

Halloween candy.....hmmmm.....I'd have to say Pixie Sticks, green apple Jolly Ranchers and Charms Blow Pops are my favorites.

Plus I love Those Peppermint salt water taffies.

I just LOVE m&m's, especially those blue ones! I know they are supposed to taste the same, but the blue ones appeal to me more. I'm addicted to them. I wish they sold them in seperate colors. But then I'd probably be running to the store buying all of the blue ones, sort of like a drug addict looking for a fix.

I have no idea what a peep is.

Peeps are those little marshmellow-filled chicks covered with sugar that are sold at Easter. I swear they could send a diabetic into a coma just by walking by them!

Curious Guy...what makes you so curious?

Just a personality trait, I guess. And you?:)

Normally, I'm not...see, I'm a major bitch who only really cares about herself, I just pretend to care about others so I don't get a bad reputation...

Ummm...no, that's not right...my response is really, I didn't know I was curious. ;)

Favorite candy any time is Red Vines (red licorice whips). Whole family gets a big box at the movies and we chew away all through the movie. Husband likes chocolate-covered raisins, and because of him I've acquired a taste for them as my second favorite.

As for candy that is specific to Halloween, local stores have these mini-chocolates that come in orange and black wrappings, kind of like Hershey kisses but smaller. MUCH better than candy corn (yuck!).

Had chocolate-covered cherries for anniversary last week, VERY good, but again, the question was about HALLOWEEN candy and those aren't specific to Halloween. Come to think of it, oher than candy corn or repackaging other candies in Halloween-color wrappings, is there really such a thing as candy that is SPECIFICALLY Halloween candy?

candy corn sucks.

I can't remember a Halloween where after trick-or-treating I couldn't raise my bag to my nose and smell Double Bubble Bubble gum. Always buy a bag of that to give away.. that or Bazooka with the corny cartoons on them. Love that during Halloween.

Christmas? Every year I buy a box of the miniature Russell Stover assorted chocolates. It's just not Christmas without it!

Candy

Do you buy bags of the candy you love every Halloween, then pray neighborhood kids don't ruin it by ringing the doorbell?

Turning out every light in the house and eating your candy by flashlight should help.
My fav Halloween candy is Smarties as well, love those litle things. Christmas is Esther Price (locally made chocolates) carmels or Reese's in the shape of christma trees. My fav the rest of the time is Red Swedish Fish....the boys and I love those so much we buy 5 pound boxes of them so we don't run out.

The normal candy corn that is yellow orange and white, is available all year long. Brach makes a "harvest corn" only during the fall that is chocolate, orange and white. That's the only candy I know of that's only available in October and November.

The mallowcreme pumpkins, bats, witches, etc, are hard to find at other times as well, but they are just different molds for candy flavors that are available in other shapes for other seasons. The "Harvest Corn" is the same shape, but a different flavor.

It's amazing I still have my teeth.

Candy corn, Harvest corn, Redvines, Smarties (the Canadian kind, not the American kind, the chocolate is sooooo smooth), Peeps for all seasons, Reese's peanut butter pumpkins, peanut butter kisses, Hershey's Miniatures in the holiday foils, m&m's in Christmas colors....ok, now I need to go to Wal-Mart, I need my candy fix!!

Hey, in Canada they have this thing, it's almost like a Kit-Kat, but it's not called that...I just remember my guy feeding it to me...ugh!!! Ok, back to the fun.

WH...you are right about the candy corn, but I only buy it at this time of the year, makes it more special...and I don't like the harvest corn...gag...

Another favorite of mine is twizzlers, but I can't eat them too much because they give me heartburn. Ummm...blow pops...yes, the kind you are thinking of...well, both kinds actually...and Starburst.

Too many choices.

I like those little 3musketeers bars, just enough to satisfy the craving.

Now as far as Xmas candies go, you can't beat the good old candy canes, they make good stirrers for hot chocolate as well. Just don't let the kids have'em before bed, or else they're bouncing off the walls!! ;)
