Oh, sorry, I was reading it with Italian pronunciation: lee chee nee chee.

A lychee nut is a prickly-type nut that is very very yummy. I don't see it a lot in Western food, but it is very common as a flavor for Asian candy, and I've also had lychee juice at a Chinese juice bar. I highly recommend it.
