Sibelius, Finlandia. Or else Lo Fidelity Allstars' Battleflag.

Both from another time for me, one that in retrospect seems as the halcyon days of youth.

led zep for me is the battle of evermore/ your time is gonna come

Eclectic Choices

This is already going to be a very eclectic cd. Let me add to that "mixed bag" feeling a little, if I may.

"Wonderful Tonight" - Eric Clapton. My fav love song of all time.

"So What" - Miles Davis. Fabo jazz.

"Take Five" - Dave Brubeck. More great jazz.

"Boom Boom" - John Lee Hooker. Raw Blues.

"I've Always Been Crazy" - Waylon. Gotta have some Outlaw Country and it's almost my theme song.

"Till I Gain Control Again" - Emmylou Harris. Just for beauty.

I think this is going to have to be a two or three CD set!

In Your Eyes, by Peter Gabriel.

I know, it's a sappy, obvious song, but for some reason, I have had more conversations about that song on these boards than any other.

If you're running short on songs, you could try some of the other best songs of all time:

The Duke's Take the A Train
Philip Glass, Liquid Days
Roni Size feat. Zach de la Rocha Center of the Storm
Itzhak Perlman playing Ravel's Tzigane
the American Horn Quartet playing Kerry Turner's Fanfare for Barcs
Scott Joplin's Solace
Smetana's Moldau
And perhaps Our Lady Peace, Automatic Flowers

any more songs that you think shouls see a place on the lit compilation cd that will be availible in all good record shops by christmas

Don't forget NIN - closer and STP - Sex Type Thing

Hehe. I enjoy making challenges for people. You just might end up having to use the word "eclectic" in the title and/or description...
