I have a quasi-biographical story complete, but yet to be edited.

The main characters are both women. They only have sex once and at the very end. It’s described in a rather Hallmark TV manner (yes I did write it).

The story is about their relationship and challenges that both face in their respective lives. There is an undercurrent of sexual attraction throughout as they had previously been lovers.

So:

  1. Lesbian Sex
  2. Romance
  3. Somewhere else
Lesbian seems safest, but it’s not a sapphic sex romp.

You'll face the least headwinds in Lesbian but, depending on your theme, it may fit elsewhere.

Seems some of the resolution is in the sapphic experience finally consummating so that theme is category supported best by Lesbian.

If it's not that or some other category fits theme better, go there.

Lesbian travels to other categories far better than gay. Lesbian afield feels more like you simply lose your tailwinds whereas gay runs into full on homophobic hurricanes.

Lesbian happily accepts non-sapphic sex-romps as well as sapphic non-sex romps ;)

I'd go Lesbian, with perhaps a heads-up about it not being a sex fest.
