Ok, here's the deal---

I gotta buddy who's really in to the BDSM thing....however, while I've always wanted to, I've never tried it. He keeps playin around telling me that he'll tie my wings down and fuck his little dragon---once we're alone, lol---but the thought worries me that I won't be "good enough".

Be yourself. Communicate beforehand what you want and want to avoid (if you know right away you don't want him to hurt you, for instance, let him know what he can and can't do.) Don't do anything you're uncomfortable with, even if you think he really wants it.

I don't really believe there's a "good enough" as far as this sitaution goes. Just relax, try to enjoy everything, have some good sex afterwards the two of you can communicate what you liked and dilsliked, and I'm sure he's not going to think you were anything less than perfect.

I used to worry about being a good submissive/bottom...

IMO Topping is *much* more nerve-wracking. I have to think ahead and plan for his pleasure, my pleasure, *our* pleasure, what will I do if XYZ occurs... what will I do if XYZ doesn't occur, etc. When I bottom I know he'll have all the details worked out and all I have to do is be a good girl; I get to float on the sensations... The worry about being a "good" bottom no longer plagues me.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to Top; I'm equally thankful for the opportunity to bottom. Topping gives me far more angst than bottoming, but I suspect that will change as I get more comfortable with it.
