4 hours into an 18 hour shift. It's either this or crashing in an empty exam room.

My job has literally tried to kill me on many occasions. Only one hospital visit so far though.

I'm a nurse, so I guess when sleep deprivation sets in, at least I'm already at the hospital. Usually my shifts aren't that bad, but I'm covering for someone who needed the time off. Took in a nap earlier though, so I'm good.

Thank you for what you do!! My daughter was a nurse and is now a Nurse Practitioner and I remember some of the stories she would of the ER. You people are special so keep on doing what you’re doing and thank you!!!!

I'm usually in the OR, but a friend needed some time off this weekend, so I'm covering in the ER. Yea the stories get crazy and sometimes really weird. I'd write a book if it wasn't for HIPAA haha.

This ain't my first rodeo lol. It has just been a while since I've worked this many hours in this short amount of time. Only 2.5 hours left though. I'm not a coffee drinker though. Makes me jittery.

When my daughter worked in the ER she use to call it the "Knife and Gun Club"!! And yes, because of HIPAA she never could real elaborate on what all happened.

Yea I've seen a lot over the last 8 years. When I think I've seen it all, someone surprises me.

I've been there too and just know you are appreciated and thank you for doing the work you do. Sometimes people forget that thank you can make it a little better.

Well the Thank Yous are appreciated for sure, but I love my job. It gets crazy and I'm pretty sure I found some grey hair the other day (I'm 31), but I wouldn't change it. I'm in the process of getting my NP, but I'm afraid I'll miss out on all the fun if I head upstairs lol.

The saying, "You're only as old as you feel.", doesn't mean anything to me. I'm 31 but feel like 101 lol.

My job is trying to kill me, but not from the number of hours, it's more from the number of dumbasses I encounter daily. I will eventually see you in the ER from that aneurysm.
