I think of myself as being pretty tech savvy.

But after spending pretty much all day setting up two TVs and a couple of digital boxes, I may have to have a rethink.

awwwwww I don't suppose you read the directions did you?

I was forced to! Main problem was I was trying to install inputs from two different countries with two different freeview standards.

Just remember, there are no refunds on used electronic items purchased at our store.

I have an external hard disc recorder on the main tv - and a year after I bought it, I still have not figured out how to rename what I record.

its really quite simple, treat each box as a separate input source, if need be create a distribution network for each box, and feed / input each box / network into the tv /tvs via separate inputs such as hdmi 1 and hdmi2 or scart 1 and scart 2, or hdmi and scart mix...

also Every one worth speaking to speaks English, so why do you need two broadcast systems?

Congratulations for saying the funniest quote of the day.

"I have an external hard disk."

The 'rents live about ten miles south of the Irish border. They get UK TV signals but Saorview, the Irish Freeview, is a completely different animal to Freeview. They also have a sattelite dish. They also have a dvd recorder that doesn't have an hdmi connection. The original cables were installed by some fucker that used to work on nmotorway design in the West Midlands, by the look of it. Got it sorted eventually but the language got a bit extreme in parts.

I'm one of those people that ALWAYS reads owners manuals and installation instructions.

I'm the only one I know who does it and I'm always the one fixing everybody's fuck ups.

I nearly threw the fucking dvdr through the window at one point.

On the positive side, MotD is going to be fucking epic tonight. :D

it was, as you predicted, an enjoyable viewing experience.:D
