I think my story was submitted too late

I submitted a story for the halloween contest over the weekend, and it's still pending. Guess I put it in too late.

Does anyone know what the next theme contest will be? Christmas/New Years?

why not thanksgiving? family's cumming together...giant turkey's raping the poor human victims...i'm sorry i'm just being silly i'll stop and slink into the corner now...

So long as your story was submitted before today, it will make it into the contest.

That is, as long as you submit your story through the scripts by midnight EST tonight - EVEN IF IT ISN'T POSTED YET - it will make it into the contest.

It's the "submitted" date that counts, not the posted date.

We will make every effort to have all the Halloween contest stories that are within the date range approved asap. The voting will continue on for another week or so, so stories submitted even as late as today will have plenty of time to compete.

Gloating

I was just about to pack up and go home, when I noticed a line on Lit's Home-page saying that all Halloween submissions must be in before midnight. Holy cow! Has time gone by so fast???

I quickly sat down and started clicking down the idea I had been toying with, and completed the whole thing in half an hour, and submitted it.

I don't know if the speed may have decreased my usual quality ("Modesty"? Isn't that a cartoon?), but, I was very proud of being able to just sit down and press out a story like that, and I was also very relieved and excited to get into the contest in time!

Promis me that y'all will read it now, ya hear??? It's called "Until morning comes, my love".
