It is of my humble opinion that Irishdragon maybe a bit too much of a thinker. He puts on these posts where he wants us to engage in philosophy....just let it go man!!!!!

Wow...I am the subject of a post!!!! What did I do to deserve this honor???? I would first like to thank Lav for her support and secondly say yes I probably do think too much. Now whoever you are who posted, just because my "are we real" post did not mention sex, drugs, monster trucks, jerry springer, field and stream, duck hunting, or trailor parks please don't think I did not want your opinion on this topic.

Yes I think too much because I have to make up for people like you who don't think at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a world we live in where "thinking too much" could be considered to be a bad thing.

Carry on, Irish... you're right. We'll write it off to making up for others who don't think whatsoever. lol

How can one "think too much"?
Seriously.
How?

Should we switch our brains off after a certain amount of thinking because thinking is a precious commodity and we're using too much - sorta like water or electricity? Maybe it's cuz all our brain circuits will blow out if we use them up too rapidly and without care? and how do we switch our brains off anyway? More sleep? Get drunk? Get stoned? What's the accepted process that will enable us to stop thinking so much?

And if someone doesn't like the way we think, or doesn't like the things we think about, shouldn't they simply stay away and not open threads in which we post, so they can avoid feeling pushed into watching the hideous process of thinking as it's taking place?

"Think too much." Is that compared to "doesn't think enough" or "thinking-challenged" or "stupid and can't keep up with even remotely quasi-intellectual conversations"?

All in all, i'd rather be accused of one who thinks too much. Wouldn't you?

Geeze. "Thinks too much." Funny! I'll be giggling over this one for a while.
:D

Seriously, folks, seriously.

I dig threads that make me think. I like reading longwinded debates in which reason and logic are treasured. Threads about so-and-so's new av or how hot people are boring. Besides, I find women with intellect WAY more sexy than a bimbo with big boobs.

Our society places enough pressure on people to be superficial and beautiful, her at Lit we can wax lyrical about philosophy and match wits with people from every walk of life. College professors, lawyers, students, everyone.

IMHO, Lit would do with more people like Irishwolfhound who "think too much."
