So, we moved, everyone knows that. Well, the people who sublet from us, agreed originally to pay us half the security deposit. We didn't ask for any rent, nothing additional, and we agreed to be out in time for them to move in.
Well, then, they decided to try and screw us, by saying they would pay rent only from the day they move in on (which was the 15th when they wanted us out, so they could move in), and that they would pay only the security deposit that the land lord said would be appropriate, after looking over damages.
Well, they screwed themselves, because they thought the sec dep would only come out to like $100, and rent, they didn't plan on moving in till next weekend, so they thought, hey, we get out for like $100, 150. Well, in the end, they screwed themselves by wanting that deal, because it came out to $650 total.
Then, they told us they couldn't pay us the entire amount at once, so we agreed to take partial payments of 200, 225, and 225 over a 6 week period.
The first payment was due yesterday. After chasing them all around yesterday, with no responce from thier end, I got ahold of them this morning. The wife said she couldn't pay us, because the husband had the check book. So, he was supposed to call us back this morning, and never did. I chased them from house to house today, and FINNALLY got ahold of them about 20 minutes ago.
Now, they are refusing to pay at all. They are saying that since we can't get cable switched to thier name until the 2nd (office closed early today, and doesn't re-open till then), that it isn't available to them (when in reality they get free cable out of the deal), and they are saying that the landlord has said they owe him, instead of us, etc.
Over the whole deal, they keep saying the landlord was saying this, doing this, etc, when after we talked to him, he was ignorant of everything that was being done, and he IS a preist. I believe him, over these two.

So, now, they are pissed cause they can't put cable in thier name, but they are allowed to move in, on our contract still, while we are paying rent still, and they don't agree they need to do anything.
-grumbles- I am fairly pissed off atm, so if this doesn't sound co-harent, then I am sorry.

I sincerally hope that this makes me have a baby tonight. Every single thing we have done with the 3 different moves (his mother, us, then them) we have nearly been screwed over with it all. I AM SO PISSED.
