And it was really good!

I love the fact that they have kept the background close to the comic!

:D

Tobey McGuire surprised me with how well he played the role. I was thoroughly disappointed with Kirsten Dunst, though.

But..I did think it was a terrific movie.:)

ive watched the film and was a little suprised when the
british board of film censors said that it was very violent
and tried to get the rating altered so that only older children
and adults could watch it ,me personally i didnt think it was
whats your opinions?

I didn't think it was too bad. There were some parts like with the fighting that was violent, but not nearly as bad as some of the crap that gets through.

I liked the film. It was probably the first one I was okay with that kind of ending with. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Is the british rating system different than the one used here in the states?

It wasn't that bad, there were a couple of points where I flinched but that is just coz I am a wuss and hate anything to do with sharp objects...

I also can't wait for the next one, though I hope Ms Dunst has a stronger performance, I love her normally but MJ was a stronger charactor then she was portrayed in the film.

not really sure on that one ,
but it seems to me as though the board of censors are
living in the past and ought to try and catch up with modern times
after all my kids see far worse than that everyday
when the news comes on with all the trouble in the world at
the moment but they dont censor that!!!

We have a PG-13 rating here than drives me nuts!!

It doesn' mean shit. Some of the movies have no sex..hardly any swearing..then others will show nudity..say fuck...and yet...all fall under the PG-13 rating. Total bullshit.

Yep. Sex is way more tolerated over there than violence. They have a rating system that goes by age number. In the video store you can find films like Eyes Wide Shut and Henry and June that have a lesser rating than Die Hard. It's kind of the opposite here. Sex is taboo but we can push the envelope as far as violence is concerned.

So far, Spiderman's my favorite summer movie. With Clones coming in next. DAMN YOU, Hayden. YOU SUCK!!!!!!

Minority Report was excellent. Good, solid science fiction as entertaining as Total Recall or 12 Monkeys. I like the fact that the special effects were always used to support the story instead of the story being just a springboard for a lot of special effects (ex: star wars).

Loved 12 Monkeys.

What age should children be to see Minority Report? I don't remember what it was rated.

I saw it. IT got too technical for me, that, after a 1/4 of the way through, I was like, "Huh?" Then, it got clearer to me towards the end. But, half of the movie went over my head. Hayden just whined too much. The whole scene where he made a small jump to the darkside SHOULD of made the audience care about it. Instead, he whined throughout the scene, so, it was like, "Who cares?" IF he said, "I hate them," 1 last time...AHHHHHHH!! He says that, but, the feeling isn't there. It felt like a rehearsal.

If a movie is PG-13, it can only have moderate violence, no sexually-oriented nudity, and only one use of "fuck" or some other sexually-related expletive.

It's rated PG-13 which I guess is appropriate. Not a lot of bloodletting or cursing but it is rather adult in tone. I'm really not the one to ask though; I saw Scarface when I was nine. :)

NINE??? All other violent films are pretty much downhill from that one..lol. I still have problems watching it.

I can't handle excessive violence or swearing either. Pulp Fiction was just overboard with "fuck". I like using the word too..but..geesh.

JL:kiss:

On a related note...ever try watching Pulp Fiction on Basic TV? It's REALLY funny.

Not as funny as trying to watch Scarface on TV! :D

Some movies are just not meant to be seen edited.

Or dubbed for that matter. I still LMAO at the old Godzilla movies.

Try to catch Repo Man on regular TV. "Fuckin'" is translated as "Flippin'" and "Motherfucker" becomes "Mellon Farmer"!

I totally agree with you, you delicious piece of flesh!

Kirsten DunCE had no chemistry...I was hoping the Goblin would just fuck her up!

My Dad watched "Die Hard" on a cable late night thing, and, "Motherfucker" turned into "Mr. Falcon." So, when they went to an ad, the host of the show said, "Who's Mr. Falcon?"
