It was Iztach Perlman playing Tchaichovsky...live, no less. Don't bother telling me how badly I fucked up the spelling, I'm well aware.

I nearly cried the whole time it was so unreal.

See? Draaah has a soft side.

While I'm here, I'd like to say something about this "first post" stuff. You do realize that it's actually the second post, right?

That's about all I care about that topic.

I'm also stuck somewhere between slightly bored and a little tired.

What's new with all of you fucks?

Aside from brief fantasies of throttling sd124 and Yoyotwat wanting to rest his weary head in my lap? I'm going to go to bed. That pretty much covers it.

:)

Oh yeah, another thing since I'm all tangential and shit.

Alzheimer's is a relentless, cunt of a disease.

Those are the best fantasies.

Nite, MuffBurger. Sleep tight, you.

Wow... Classical music. I think I need some of that right about now.

I am okay.

Complete agreement: Lost a grandmother's mind to Alzheimer's well before she died, and Itzhak Perlman's rendition of Tzigane is one of my most-played music recordings.
On the plus side, anti-inflammatories seem to inhibit beta amyloid plaque formation. Now if they could just detect it early they could probably keep it from being a problem. Alzheimer's, that is. Not Perlman.

I was in a mood earlier myself and had some Anonymous 4 cranked up. Normally I hate classical, but since it's hubby's passion (not to mention his work) I have a ton of the crap laying around.

If you like choral music, Alexandraah, I strongly recommend them.

katori- I know what you mean; it's my grandmother and we lost her well over four years ago, though her body is like a fine tuned machine. It's sickening and I will make a request to all of you that should you see me in that irrepairable state, please put a bullet somewhere that will kill me instantly. It's horrifying.

Nora- thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out.

Hey lav! Sounds like you're having a more than decent summer.

IFB- that just plain rocks silliness, I heart it. Thanks.

Yeah, you get it. Amazing, isn't it?

Beethoven Romances...

....with Perlman playing, then conducting....last summer.

Fab.

I do the same.

It's the "I've dated way too many musicians" in me.

I'm breaking the habit.

Here's why: "Music is a mistress who always gets her way."

I think credit is owed to B.B. King for that nugget of truth.
