The Bodyguard went out on his bike yesterday, just to get out of the house. He wasn't gone for very long. Maybe half an hour or so. He decided to go to one of the British Imports stores. He wanted fish and chips and a bottle of brown sauce.

And he brought me back an Aero bar to try (my description made him laugh - like Andes mints, but fluffy) and two whole Crunchie bars! To have all to my very lonesome!!!

i LIKE Crunchie bars.

lol, oh crunchie bars. I loved them when my now husband used to send them to me from england. Then his parents found out and sent me this gigantic box of crunchie bars for christmas. I to this day try to avoid them as much as possible now....maybe one a year if I can manage it.

Oh thanks a bunch for reminding us guys and gals from across the pond... We send you 'fish n chips', 'steak n kidney pie', 'brown sauce', 'crunchie', 'aero', 'roast beef and yorkshire pud', etc, etc... and what do you send to us... 'Mac fucking Donalds'...........

Aero's are yummy -I've not had a crunchie in years though.

I know McK is rather partial to a flake...

Flakes . . . yum!

Thornton's, though . . . anyday. Especially the fruit creme, dark chocolate variety :catroar:

Flakes are good, but the chocolate goes everywhere... and melts. It's the kind of chocolate bar you need to be stripped naked and sitting on newspaper to eat.

I like the stripped naked part.

But newspaper... eh... I'd rather wash the sheets. :cathappy:

I'm just lazy

It's easier to put a newspaper in the bin than wash sheets.

English candy in general is vastly superior to American candy. Especially chocolate. In fact, practically everything in England tastes better then it does over here. Now I miss home again...kind of. :p

I'll send you all my food if you send me yours.

Done. :D I will say that American fast food is better than English fast food though. I'm talking about the main chains like McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, etc.

But it'll rustle and make distracting noises once you move!

It's not the fast food I miss (as much). It's the every day things that either I can't get or, even when I can, just don't taste right.

You bitch!

That's it, no more cooking!

;)

It's not the cooking, my love, it's the ingredients. (Besides, you'll never stop cooking...if you did, you'd have to eat mine  :D)

I know exactly what you mean.

Also English food is ridiculously expensive. Over $2 for a candy bar that costs less then 50p back home? Also, a can of coke went for $5 at the English food store. Yes that's right, a can of English Coca Cola.

And a smaller, squat lil can at that!

hehe! The candy bars at this store are only $1.45

For that price, I hope it's the best candy ever. Or that is has one of the tickets inside to see Willy Wonka's factory. :)
