And all i got (apart from aching muscles) was this neato football shirt!

cool, huh?

The big question

WHO WON?

(NB- Anyone with a BUD shirt is a winner in my book)

**And 4 isn't a lucky number, it's 69.**:D

Wrong king of football guys...what they call "football" is our Soccer.

Score any goals or assists Star?

This was like the local round of an international tourney... which i wasnt aware of when i signed up.... We were a pub team... so we were all kinda unfit... we came up against teams from Gym's and Health centres who just whipped us...

we won one game out of five... having been hammered twice.

That left us 5th in the Group of 6... and the top 4 of each group (there were 4 groups) went through to the quarter finals

I played well, having only met 5 of the other 6 guys that morning.... our understanding just wasnt there until about 3 games in.. the passing and movement got much better towards the end.. but by then we were all shattered, while the real athletes just get on sprinting *sigh*

80 minutes worth of football.... I haven't excersised like that for ages.....

No... what you call 'football' is rugby with 40 pounds of padding..... :D

What you uneducated types call 'soccer' is actually football ;)

I was in the defensive mode for most of the match.. but i got some shots in, set up a few goals.... but we don't count assists to mean anything over here.... for a team who'd never met we scored in every match...

not too shabby

Rugby.....not that there's anything wrong with that.

If there's anything wrong with it... then you could probably also apply it to Yank 'football' :D

Why do Americans always say 'soccer' when the rest of the world knows it's 'Football'? American "Football" hardly even includes using the foot! That should be categorised as rugny definitely....or handball....

No wait...then handball would have to change name to...eh...???

Never mind. :D :p

Damn, can't spell...

I meant rugby of course!

Starving, can't that darn flatmate ever leave the kitchen????!!

The tourney was free... so i'm rich for he next week....

C'mon over baby... You'll be reimbursed in full... plus a little extra ;)

I'm all for renaming football to: "Game where you beat the crap out of each other over a funny shaped ball and don't even get arrested."

:D

Hockey?

"Game where you beat the crap out of each other over a funny shaped thing and don't even get arrested. On Ice"
