Well, friends, it's that time of year again. No, I'm not talking about when that fat guy in the red suit visits.
But close; I don't wear red, though.
It's FOURTH Annual TB4p College Confidence Bowl Pick'em Time!
[applause goes here]
Yes, this bear leaves hibernation in the winter to demonstrate my utter lack of talent for predicting sports contests. (I did win the inaugural event, but that was out of 3 players.)
And you too can utterly defeat and humiliate me! Here's how:
There are 28 games in the 2005-06 NCAA D1-A football bowl season. Your mission is to pick all the winners and place a wager on them based on how confident you are in their victory. So, if you think Penn State will lay waste to Florida State in the Orange Bowl, you can place heavy points on the Nittany Lions, whatever the hell those are. But if you're just not sure between Memphis or Akron in the Motor City Bowl, you can bet small and hedge a little.
Wagers must be a number from 1 through 28, inclusive, and no number can be used more than once.
That last part's very important, so I'll repeat it: No number can be used more than once.
(If you're still hazy, my next post will be my picks and predictions. You can use them as a guide, or, if you're really on the ball, you can pick the opposite of everything I do and practically guarantee yourself victory.)
It's fun, it's easy, and anyone can win. Last year Liontamr, a Canadian, took home the big prize and I had to feature Canada's flag in my av and national anthem in my sig.
What's the prize this year? What, you mean bragging rights aren't enough for you, you selfish bastards? Well, we'll think of something.
The maximum score is 406. High score wins. All valid entries must be submitted by the kickoff time of the first game, which is 8 PM EST December 20. Good luck and good hunting.
Now, the games, in chronological order (and I don't use the sponsors' names if I can help it, because most of them are just fuckin' dumb):

One more time, since I can't emphasize it enough: For every game, use a number from 1 through 28. Use every number once and only once. I may not be able to double-check all entries, though sometimes other people spot my mistakes.
But close; I don't wear red, though.
