I have just recently started a campaign on Indiegogo. I have 2 goals for this campaign; raising money to start my business and getting funds for camp. This board can do so much more than just my personal network can do. The minimum contribution possible is 1$. All I ask of you is to contribute what you can and share with your personal network.
My first goal is to convert apartment buildings into hotels like airBnb but on a larger scale. The second goal of this campaign is to help fund a summer camp and a camp site that are near and dear to me; Trail’s End Camp and Camp Kinkora. I learned last year that the majority of summer camps are in constant danger of closing because they’re not profitable; I don’t want this ever to be the case here. Running a camp is by no means means cheap; there’s a budget for food, activities, and maintenance of the ground year round. With enough funding, Trails End Camp could have camp run all summer. Not all families can afford camp; funds raised would also go toward sponsoring those children so they don’t miss out on this experience.
Camp is a life changing experience that every child should experience. Summer camps allow a child to break out of their shells, form lifetime friendships, and teach them skills they need like participation, communication and problem solving. I learned this firsthand last year when I volunteered. Camp even had a profound effect on me as an adult; it improved my communication skills. I wish I had that experience as a kid and I would love to provide that experience to today’s youth.
