You all need to come to live in Australia ....
* 38 hours weeks

But wait! there's more .....
* Work a public holiday and get paid 2.5 times your hourly rate
* Free Medical
* Cheaper Insurance (they went up today)
* 4 weeks holiday a year
* 17.5% Paid Holiday loading
* 2 weeks paid sickleave a year

In hindsight, I better not give too much away!:)

sounds good to me.....here in the States, at least where I
work,we get paid time and a half only for working a holiday
(i.e. Christmas). We don't get free medical insurance though.

I need to get outta CT and onto the MOON! *sniffle*

So you wanna go out and get drunk one night? After the day I've had today I need blow out just once - and I don't believe in getting drunk alone - it can lead to bad habits...

I worked in retail management from graduation until last fall. I spent the last three years salaried and HATING life. I started saving my money in a more liquid way...no 401k, and decided when I had enough I woud quit.

Well I did, a little early of plan but the regionals putting pressure on me to doctor numbers was the final straw. Bad timing quitting the first week of Sept. But at least I was available to take care of everything when my step-dad died. Actually the past 6mos have been spent dealing with a multitude of family issues. So it's been a good thing I have been available.

So here I am, a half-year later still pretty uncertain of what I am going to do. But at least I'm out of those endless 80hr work weeks for crappy pay and no intellectual challenge.

Hang in there, and if it's bad enough get out. Somehow smart, hard working people will land on their feet.

When your workmates start to bug you and piss you off
just think of your co worker sat on the pan trousers and pants round his knees and the fire alarm going off mid strain

then think of the picture of him/her running outa the lav's trying to pull up his/her pants trousers still round the ankels and the toilet roll tucked in to the waist band with a panic striken look on the face

:devil:

then you try to take them seriously
(works with bosses too when your getting balled out)
