i need some real help

i met a girl on the internet. she lives nearby, has one of the best personalities i have ever seen and is into all the same stuff sexually. th eproblem comes into when we met. i am completely atracted to her personality but not her body. she doesnt have a bad body or any disfigurements but she just isnt atractive to me physically. its kinda confusing. ive never been one to worry about what other people think or anything and ive always hated people who care about looks and a persons body but i just am not atracted to hers even though everything else i look for she has in spades. im hating this because if i dont try to be with her just because of non physical atraction it makes me a hypocrite. can someone give me some advice. we really hit it off on the web and the phone and we had fun the one time we met but i just cant feel physically atracted for some unknown reason.

I'm no expert, but it just occured to me that maybe you had formed a mental picture of what she looked like before to met, perhaps it was based on an AV or something. Maybe she has dark hair and you imagined her as blonde. I know it's not easy, but perhaps you have to re-associate this real woman with the person you've come to know online and disassociate the image you have formed. How you do that, I'm not quite sure, at a guess I'd say go out some more with her and allow the real her to link with what you know!

Don't feel bad...it probably just isn't there. It could even be a matter of pheromones. Maybe you can continue seeing her in a friend capacity and see if you feel differently in time. I wasn't really attracted to my husband when we met, but the more time we spent together, the more attractive he became to me. Six years later, I'm more attracted to him than ever.

Also, may I suggest you move or ask this question in the How To forum? There's a good thread on personality and looks, and I know a ton of people in there have personal stories and advice on this very situation. Good luck!
