I have done this, too. Go to the offending page and click "Report Thread". Identify yourself as the author of the thread (although that's probably obvious) and include what you've written here. The moderators will remove the link in due course. Problem solved!

yeah, it seems like not many people are giving feedback and a lot of long running stories have gone dead without any new threads being posted for a very long time. It's kinda off-putting for authors which is why feedback is so important. there is nothing better than getting feedback or even the odd email from someone letting you know they like your work.
