I want to go back to school to get my high school diploma, and I was wondering if I could get your opinon on something

Do you think this is a real school and how do I find out if they are real?? I really don't want to waste my money on something this important.

You should really contact your department of education to see if this kind of course is accepted nationwide. A lot of correspondence schools are not widely recognized, can be costly, and are of no real benefit. Why not consider returning to night school or an adult day school? My partner finished his grade twelve through an adult day school and is currently doing well in a post-secondary course.

I found this on their website.

Unlike some distance learning providers, Keystone National High School is licensed by the State Board of Private Licensed Schools, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and accredited by the following recognized accrediting bodies:

To be safe, you should check with Pennsylvania and see that they are currently still licensed there. If they are, a diploma from them would be the same as a diploma from any public school in the state.

Send me a PM and I'll give you the email address of someone in Penn. who can help you with that question. He specializes in tutoring students who want to get their GED and he worked in the public school system there his whole career.

It looks fine to me. But, I also am not from the US. If it is an accredited school, you should be all right.

If you are planning to go to a post secondary institution, you might want to contact them and make sure that they recognize a diploma from Keystone.

Otherwise.....go for it! And...good for you!!! :)

I would check your local community college/junior college, and check on their fees for a GED Prep class. I suspect that you'll find it's cheaper than any online/mail-order school as well as being a face-to-face situation where you can actually ask a question and get it answered the same week.
