I need help in writing from chats into a story

I have some good chats, with a friend, which we both would like to put into stories
I have so far, made the edits etc
Because they were personal and just chats, the basic editing takes a long time, they are in ICQ mainly
With my partners help, will will try to work out the He's and She's etc
I would like some help as to whether the words in quotes should be on seperate lines, the story bits, with a paragraph, or how is best to do it!
We still need to decide on the names, as that was understood within, as it was a chat, we rarely used that way
