Andrew Donaldson, 52, looked out from the deck of his beach house and smiled. This is just what I needed I thought to myself. I sold my consulting business for way too much money . . . settled with the ex, put enough in a trust for the kids to finish college, paid cash for this beach front "cabin", and here I am!!
A Corvette and Land Rover in the garage, still have the condo in the city . . . now I can go where I want, when I want, and stay as long as I want.
Coffee cup in front of me . . . Wall Street Journal on the table . . . looking up and watching the other vacationers strolling on the beach . . . hoping there might an unattached female or two . . . I can dream!!
There is a resort down at the end of my row of beach homes . . . a couple of bars on the beach that we residents can use. But the beach in front of each "cabin" is private and cannot be used by the hotel guests; also, the private beach area is "clothing optional" . . . a nice feature.
Finishing my coffee, I stroll down toward the resort, hoping to get a late morning mimosa . . . and just maybe, find a guest to chat with.
