Ok, I'm getting sick of this 'do. This is what my hair looks like now.

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q98/twhrider13/Myspace15.jpg

It's thin, prone to greasiness and stringiness, and has a couple of waves in it that straighten out pretty easily. It seriously lacks volume and hangs limply around my face more often than not. I'd like to do something new with it without whacking it all off. (My head is too big to look good with short hair.) Here are a few selections I've picked out, but if y'all have any more ideas, that'd be great. I'd prefer not to go shorter than shoulder length, given the size of my face/head and my ugly double chin. ;) I'd like something pretty easy to style, too, as I suck at doing my own hair.

What about a spiral perm? With your long hair, that would thicken and put volume to it. Ands it pretty easy to take care of.

My hair doesn't hold curl well. My few forays into perms when I was younger were disastrous. I looked like a puffball. I'm ready to whack some of the length off, too, because it's gotten so long and heavy that it makes my head/neck hurt. :(

I really like this one for you. Your hair is fairly long now right? I think the second one would take to much volume out of your hair, and the last ones aren't structured enough.

I really dig this cut Bunny.

I was thinking about a spiral perm for myself. Have you gotten one done before? Chemicals kind of freak me out, but I saw a woman with the prettiest hair who had a spiral perm.

I like this one, too. I'm afraid it might be a little TOO short, but I suppose I could always ask the stylist to leave an extra inch or two on the bottom layers. Thank you for your help! :)

Ok well we dont want a puffball haired bunny, now do we? ;) And the hair headaches are enough to make one scream, i haved them myself.

Maybe a feathered, to the side look; a little below shoulder length? That would put some volume to the top, but still keep the sides smooth enough not to look like a puffball.

Something like nikitas, the blond in your pics.

As my hair grew longer it grew straighter, due to weight; so had a few inches taken off and a spiral put in a few years ago...and it held forever, going to be having another put in before long. Its ready for it.

As far as the chemicals, talk to the hairdresser; they have different types of perm sets; where the smell isnt so strong.

I agree. I mean your stylist is going to sort of do her own interpretation of it anyway. I use photos a lot when I want some sort of a guide, but we always end up tailoring it to suit me - which is what it's supposed to be about: the individual person/client.

Yeah, you're welcome. Good luck!

I can't help but create this image in my mind of a cute little puffy bunny. *laugh* But then memories of my own childhood and a few nightmare hair experiences come to mind and I immediately stop laughing.

Maybe I'll wait before getting that spiral perm.

;)

I would actually go for something shorter, at the level of your chin or just an inch or two below your chin. That would frame your face nicely. Something asymetric, like a very simple bob cut that is shorter on the back and gets longer on the sides and toward the front.

Something like Katie Holmes, but without the bang.

That's the one I had done while in Oz, and I also had it left a little longer on the bottom layer. Dries quicker after washing and isn't difficult to keep tidy.

Layers would help give it some volume.

And I was gonna suggest a flip, just 'cause, you know, I'm biased. But that would take a little styling every morning.

Another vote for #3.

It looks the easiest to take care off. Of course, my daily "hair" routine involves brushing and throwing it up in a clip or pony tail for work because I wear a headset isn't exactly a rousing endorsement.

But 3's cute.

I like the one named "hair 2". I think the layers around the face would frame it nicely and make your gorgeous eyes really stand out.

I think option 1 is the best for you Bunny but I agree that you should keep it just a little longer. Apart from anything else, once you have got used to the longer version you can always have a bit more taken off if you want to and you're feeling brave, it doesn't work the other way around.

Layers will give your hair more volume and shape. If you have a few short layers incorporated into style #1 just at the front, around your face, they will frame it beautifully. Just taking a few inches off the length will make it lighter and less 'lank.'

Just don't go too far.

I need a haircut. Maybe we can get our hair cut together?

/steps into a barbershop

Me: Number 2 Caesar please.

Barber: Sir, you've got not a single hair on your head.

Me: Thank you, Mr. Obvious.

Ok, so I got to the stylist's, and I saw a picture there that was totally what I wanted and nothing like any of the pics I posted, LOL. She whacked it off a bit short, but it'll grow out soon. Kitty's posting pics in a sec, but ignore the lack of makeup and the rather windblown look.

I also have 8" of hair to send to Locks of Love now.

Thanks, everybody! It feels great! I don't feel like I have a lead weight hanging from the back of my head now.

Kitty's about to re-dye it for me. (I had the money for a cut, but not for color.) I'm sick of the two-toned look. I'll post some better pics later once it's all one color again, and I'm wearing makeup. I just hope I can style it decently myself because I'm terrible at doing my own hair.
