Currently writing a story and I've hit a snag. My grammar is decent, I guess. But I'm confused on something. I have a character, let's call him, Markos. How do I use the apostrophe with the name in terms of ownership. Example: Markos' house, or, Markos's house.
I searched online, before coming here and bothering anyone. A grammar website said, "Markos' is acceptable. Markos's is preferred." What the fuck? lol So now my question is, what is "preferred." Here on Lit. Would a submitted story be rejected for doing it one way and not the other?
I can't even continue my story. Please help and please don't make fun of me. *Begs*
