why you older women (some) have a problem with younger men.i'm 28-29 an i party with a women that is in her 30-40's (an she is damn good looking, you would swear she was younger 30's wont give a age cause she might read this an kill me) we have a good time going out an partying,but she has this issue (i say this by the nick name she calls me) about me being younger. yes i'm, say about 11 years older then her oldest kid. but god damn what is age but a numbber. we are good friends but it still kinda bothers me.

i ask this from the rumors that linger in the bars about "US being together". it's not that i really want more (if it happens it's great, i would be the last one to complain) but i'm happy as a friend, IF, i must stay this way.so plz inform me here, let me hear from your point of view on this.

I think it depends on the woman. Personally I happen to find older men attractive. But I wouldn't turn down something with someone that I enjoyed simply because he was younger.

I'm a little confused about something - is she objecting to taking your friendship a step beyong to a level of intimacy, or is she thinking, now, that she shouldn't be hanging out with someone who is 11 years younger?

OK, here's a serious answer.

Look around you. This is a culture that worships youth. A culture where it is acceptable and often admired for older men to be with trophy wives and girlfriends.

Where little girls grow up thinking that Barbie dolls are the ideal.

Just look at any swimsuit edition, or any prime time TV show, or any movie. Even the women who ARE older look younger. My mother at 50 did not look like Cher, Jane Fonda, or Susan Sarandon, and lord knows neither will I.

It may be that women feel that if they are with younger men, those men are one day going to realize, "hey.... look around, there are women here younger, tighter, firmer, prettier, less wrinkled, and what the heck am I doing with this old lady?"

There's a lotta competition out there.

And there is a lot of disapproval for older women with younger men, too.

My personal opinion? I don't think age matters unless you let it.
