Okay, ADMITTEDLY I spend too much time watching children's shows, but...

I don't get this Pokemon/Dragon Ball Z stuff.

I miss Bugs and the gang. Whenever you CAN find them, they're edited to hell. I used to feel ashamed for enjoying TMNT, but at least THOSE had a semblance of plot.

Oh, wherefor art thou Foghorn Leghorn?

MP :(

Anyone here know anything about the PowerPuff girls? My nieces are nuts over them. So far I've learned there is a green one, pink one and blue one. And they are ages 4, 7 and 9. So my nieces tell me, anyway.

Are they decent for young girls to watch or more like those horrible old ninja turtle things?

Bless you, Havoc...

And here I was just watching media clips of Interjection and Figure 8 to get by ;-)

Hey Cheyenne!

Pink is Blossom, sh'es the leader
Green is Buttercup, she likes to fight
Blue is Bubbles, she's a bit of a twit.

All three go to Pokey Oaks kindergarten.

Is the pink one 9 years old? Or did my nieces just decide that on their own? I guess the good thing is that all three nieces want to be the pink one!

All three are the same age, 5 I guess.

So sayeth my seven year old, lol.

Cheyenne...

You thrash Raphael and the gang like that again and we might come to blows ;)

Dems feudin' words...

I just love Wile E. He is my hero; perseverance in the face of constant failure just has to be admired.

He is a true role model for engineers, when you think about it.

MP:Raphael is a turtle. That's about all I know about him. I just refused to buy the kids ninja stuff when they were popular.

Kitten Eyes: I should have known that the PowerPuff girls wouldn't likely match my nieces' ages of 4, 7 and 9! I actually asked them that question and they insisted that they did! Fooled by kids again. They get me every time. :)

They are all green ;-)

Droll, very droll ;)

Donatello, purple, staff
Michelangelo, orange, nunchucks
Leonardo, yellow, swords
Raphael, red, psi (those trident looking things)

god, I watch too many cartoons

Comics or Cartoon versions?

All the turtles wore red originally, BTW ;)

Raphael (my favorite) RED - Sai

Donatello - Purple - Bo-Staff

Michaelangelo - Orange - Nunchuckus

Leonardo - Blue - Katana

IMHO, they are very good for young girls to watch. The violence is campy a la Adam West's batman and the humor is multi-level a la Rocky and Bullwinkle.

There is a lot of educational value as well, because the PPG often have problems with things like eating their veggies until they discover alien veggies are trying to take over the world or the morality of killing bugs because they're "yucky"

*Gasps in horror* How could you insult Dragonball Z? How can you even compare it to Pokemon! Agh, my eyes are bleeding! DBZ is a cartoon, but it was originally intended for teen and adult audiences and therefore has incredible plot and character depth. And DBZ isn't new-fangled, it's been on TV for fifteen years. Oh, the incredible indignity...
