I miss the one from the day before yesterday, when I didn't feel self-conscious here. Now that I know it's been ruined for the regulars, I'm having not-so-much-fun.

Before I go back to the SRP forum where the intellectual elite consists of Turk, the cyber-bartender at Rick's Rooftop Cafe, here's a suggestion for those who want to put things back the way they were:

At the political threads, I learned a foolproof way to keep on-topic: you simply "quote" the person to whom you wish to reply, and skip the posts that are off topic. There's nothing to it.

As Sartre said to Voltaire when the first tour buses arrived in Vienna and ruined the Season for everyone, "Where the fuck did all these people come from? And why are they wearing Birkenstocks?"

You know I never concern myself with who is staying and who is going!

If I remember correctly Lit forums is one big site!

You go to the playground for games
You go to the GB for horsing around
You go to the storyideas for topics
You go to the .... you get the idea

What is the big deal? If you want to stay, stay if you want to go, go!

I personally dispise the games in the AH, but I love 75% of the people playing in there. I also don't like the immediate hijack of a thread but strangly I do like the people who are doing it. Should this be proper AH standards? I think not, but that is my opinion.

If your feelings get hurt because of someone's opinion, Lit is a scarey place for you then.

I don't like to have someone leave with hurt feelings, nor am I going to try and pretend everything is great in the AH. If you choose to leave, that is sad because each person does contribute in their own way. You read it would be no fun being an author if no one read what was written.

The problem is, And I will speak for my self. I have never seen the AH such a twirling ball of rubbish.

We are suppose to be adults! We do not have a moderator in the AH because we should be adult enough to control what we post. Have enough inteligence to know what belongs and what does not.

It is just my opinion but games belong in the "Fucking Playground" If I don't like it here it is my right to say something. I have the choice to also not visit the AH, just as if you wish to leave feel free. Don't expect me to beg anyone to stay. And certainly don't allow me to push anyone away.

That is about what I can come up with for a solution! I am pissed in both directions, but mainly because these are people I care about, and enjoy. I am at a point of just not caring because I visit so seldom now it is like I never want to come.

How about some sugestions people! Some one mentioned serious topic flags the other day. What else? There has to be a compromise No this is not the old AH, but it certainly can be tolerable for everyone. Who knows maybe we are all so immature we do need a moderator, and we can be like monkeys doing as we are told.

I am pissed off at any one who leaves because of others. This is just not right!

Okay...well then...I guess maybe I should be reading more of these threads than I do. Why? Because something has apparently been going on that I am just so far out of the loop on, that I really don't see that thee's been a problem.

Granted, I'm still fairly new to AH. I also only drop through here thoroughly a few times a week...more on weekends. So I haven't gotten a basis of comparison for what AH has been in regards to what it is now.

Although, what it is now is pretty interesting, lively, fun, entertaining, informative, and...yes...educational about life, sex, writing, reading, politics, show business, and all manner of things.

Including nonsense from time to time.
