"I Make This Costume Look GOOD!"

(Thank you Tim for the pics. I wouldn't have known how to do them.)

The 8 women regained consciousness all within a minute of one another. Their reactions varied, from anger to angst, fury to fear. They had each been enjoying the Frat House's Halloween costume party in their own way, and now they were standing on a bare knob of a hill in the middle of nowhere, half a day later???

The questions flew:

"Where are we?"

"How did we get here?"

"Where is everyone else?"

"Were we drugged?"

"Were we raped?"

"Where's my beer?"

Wendy was answering the questions as best she could when one of the girls screamed out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"WHAT HAPPENED TO ME? WHAT HAPPENED TO ME??? OH MY GOD LOOK AT ME!!!"
All eyes went to the panicking Sister's figure:
Twila spent many of her weekends with her Father placer mining gold from streams or digging in rocky hillsides for semi-precious and precious gem stones; and she had been a short, squat kind of girl all her life. So when "Lord of the Rings" and later "The Hobbit" trilogies came out she came to be called a Dwarf by many of her school mates. Some of them were polite and friendly about it, while others weren't and teased her incessantly. The latter one by one became polite about it, because not only did Twila resemble a dwarf physically, she could fight like one, too. She couldn't count the number of asses she'd kicked in high school for teasing her about her appearance. And most of those kicked asses had been male.
So, when she learned about the costume party, coming dressed as a Dwarf fighter hadn't been a difficult decision. But now...!!!
"I'm a fucking Dwarf!!!" she exclaimed, looking down at her body which was now a full foot shorter that it had been before whatever happened to them happened. She was now barely over 4 feet tall, and yet she felt as though she was even heavier and more muscular than she had been, too.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I'm smaller, too!" called another girl. "I shrunk. And. OH MY GOD!!! My ears. They're real! They're really pointy!"

Hannah who like Wendy was a Wiccan had come to the party dressed as an Elf Healer complete with a leather bag full of both real and fake spell, potion, and healing ingredients. She'd been wearing pointy, plastic ears to complete the Elven ensemble, but now as she tugged at them frantically she realized that they were real ears.

"Well, at least you're not fatter!" Twila said, noticing that Hannah had shrunk proportionally, while she herself had gotten shorter but remained wide.

Hannah dug into her Medicinal Bag and pulled out what had been a plastic bat wing. She sniffed at it and winced. "It's real!" She threw it back into the back and pulled out one item after another, repeating It's real, too again and again until finally she looked at Wendy and asked, "What the hell have you--"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I've got'em, too!" a third Sister called out, tugging at pointy ears that were almost twice as tall as Hannah's:
She raised much of the same fuss as Hannah had, then looked at the sword and bow and arrows that were part of her Elf costume and said, "These are real, too."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Another Sister had been panicking not about being short or fat or pointy eared but about the condition of her tiara and very beautiful, very expensive dress. "These are, too."

"What are too what?" one of the others asked. When the Sister realized Paula was talking about the jewels and gold in which they were laid, she asked, "How do you know they're real, little Miss Prissy Princess?"

"They're real," Twila said as she stepped up and looked closer, confirming Paula's suspicion. "I would know a real diamond a hundred yards away. And this garnet! It's worth a fortune."

"But it was cubic zirconium," Paula said, "and now it's real."

And Paula, like Twila, knew gem stones as much as she knew about being a Princess. Paula had been a beauty pageant contestant almost since the time she could walk; and during her 4 years in high school she'd been crowned Queen of 8 different dances. And she'd been exposed to fine jewelry and not too fine jewelry for most of her life as well. Her father had called her His Little Princess all her life. And like any good Princess, Paula had done her best to uphold the benevolence and charity that a real Princess's subjects would have been expected.

What Paula didn't yet realize it was that here in this strange, new land she was a real Princess.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Following up on Paula's comment about her gem stone's authenticity, another Sister was declaring that the swords she was now brandishing were real and no longer plastic.
Another Sister declared the same about her weapons, noting how sharp and well balanced the little throwing daggers were when the last time she looked at them they were light weight cheap plastic:
"Mine, too," another Sister said. She donned a bit of a disappointed expression when she pulled out the plastic broad sword which had been broken by a couple of jerks playing with it only to find out that is was real steel now yet still broken.
"They're all real, I don't get this," she said, "How is this possible?"
When the others looked to their quiet Sister, she was studying her staff carefully. Realizing the others were waiting for some sort of comment from her, she told them, "There's writing on the shaft that wasn't there before. It's like symbols. I don't understand--."
"Runes," Wendy said, having remained quiet during the others' discoveries. When all eyes turned to her, she clarified, "Magical writings."
"Like a spell?" Soria asked, sounding hopefully optimistic. "What do they do?"
Wendy moved over to look at the staff, but when Soria held it out to her, a sharp snap of electricity connected between the staff and Wendy's hand. They were all a bit surprised, but Soria's reaction was almost triumphant. She may not have fully understood what was happening, but it was obvious that her staff was her staff.
"Maybe just read it," someone offered. But when Wendy hesitantly leaned in to look at the runes, they faded away from sight.
The questions began again...
Day 1 (cont.):
"I can't explain what happened to us," Wendy told the others, ready to tear up. She was as desperate for answers as any of the others. But other than knowing the basic circumstances that had gotten them here, she didn't know any more than they did. "If we work together, we can figure out what happen."
Wendy turned her attention to the surroundings
  • They were on a wide but short, treeless rise with a view for miles in every direction.
  • Wild grass lands surrounded them.
  • Scattered groves of trees broke the landscape, the closest a mile away.
  • To the west:
    • 20 miles away was a north-south running mountain range.
    • It wasn't tall: 300-1000 foot passes and 2000-4000 foot peaks.
    • Some of the peaks had early autumn snow on them.
    • Wendy was an Earth Sciences major and knew this was a Coastal Range.
    • Beyond it a few miles would be an ocean.
    • A major river (averaging a quarter mile across) meandered through the valley, flowing northward.
    • 1 mile directly to the west of the Sisters was a small village on the river's edge. Barely visible in the middle of the river was a rope pulled ferry with horses and men on it.
  • To the east:
    • 20 miles away was a second north-south running mountain range.
    • This one, however, was much taller: 3,000-5000 foot passes and 15,000-30,000 foot peaks.
    • All of the peaks were rocky crags covered with snow.
    • This range was surely created by continental collision, as had been the Himalayas and Alps.
  • To the north:
    • More hills, some covered in groves of trees, created the horizon to the north.
    • The river continued to meander that way, disappearing amongst the hills and trees.
  • To the south was what really caught Wendy's attention:
    • The river divided and encircled an egg shaped island about 1 mile long and half that wide.
    • Sitting in the middle of the island was a castle.
    • It reminded Wendy of the feudal era of Europe.
    • There were herds of sheep with huge curling horns and large bovines with thick coats of curly fur; farmers with scythes harvesting fields full of wheat; and boats bobbing in the river as their fishers pulled in nets full of fish.
  • Wendy noticed a distinct absence of anything modern: no paved roads or cars, no powerlines or cell towers, no skyscrapers or suburban sprawl neighborhoods.
The others noticed the castle and began speculating as to where it -- and they -- were. But with each guess came a negative answer with some piece of evidence to back that answer.
That was when Wendy looked to the village at the river's edge. She called trying to gain the attention of the others, then pointed as she said, "Uh, Sisters."
  • The ferry had landed, and its occupants had disembarked.
  • 6 men on large powerful horses were galloping up the road.
  • The road passed within a quarter mile of the Sisters' current position, then forked. One fork went north, away from the Sisters; while the other turned east ... directly at the Sisters.
  • 5 of the soldiers wore identical uniforms.
  • 1 wore more color, likely indicating that he might be an Officer.
  • Even though weapons couldn't be seen from here, they were likely soldiers, so...
"What are we going to do?" Wendy asked the others. She didn't know whether or not the Sisters were in danger. Maybe the soldiers were coming to rescue or protect them. She looked to the others, knowing that they had come choices to make.
  1. Did they remain put and take a non-threatening posture?
  2. Did they remain put and take a defensive posture?
  3. Did they drop to the ground and hope they hadn't been spotted?
  4. Did they try to run? The odds of all of them reaching cover before the soldiers arrived were small (1d6<3); and even if they did reach the woods, they may still have been spotted and may still be pursued.
  5. Did they split up and run? Some of them might escape but the odds were still low (1d6<4).
  6. Or, they could do something entirely different. Got any ideas?
OOC: You can make one of the moves above or ask me for more information.
Questions and Comments:
  • To give a feel of things happening right now, I'm going to try to write in Third Person Present Tense.
  • I've never done it, so it might not work.
  • I find it easy to read what you write in bullet points (I guess they call it "List" here).
  • So I am going to try to perform my turn in bullet points, too.
  • Let me know if this doesn't work.
My Turn:
  • As the others respond to Wendy's question about what they should do with comments and their own questions, Paula looks at the castle. Something about it calls to her? She's always playfully thought of herself as a bit of a Princess. She spent her entire life in beauty pageants. And she had been elected Queen of 8 dances in 4 years at her high school.
  • But something about the beautiful structure in the distance was calling to her. Was she a Princess of that place? Or, was that just fantasy? Hopeful thinking.
  • "We should just wait for the soldiers," Paula says.
  • Paula is a peacenik at heart, what would be called a Conscientious Objector if she was ever asked to go to war. She wants to believe that the approaching soldiers mean the Sisters no harm because if they do, she will be of no use in resisting them.
  • Paula continues, "I'm sure they mean us no harm. We should wait. Maybe they can give us answers about where we are and how we got here."
  • Not everyone agrees with her, but Sharla speaks up firmly. "She's right. Half right. They might mean us harm, but we can't outrun them. So we might as well wait and see what happens."
  • Barbie grips a sword in each hand tightly, saying, "I don't know what the hell is going on, but I ain't taking no shit from a guy on a pony."
  • Twila agrees, hefting her ax. "Wait, sure. But if they do anything, I'm ready to show'em what short and squat can do with a battle ax."
  • Alice (who had killed her step father when he tried to rape her just short of her 18th birthday) isn't about to let strange men do her harm. She pulls out an arrow and notches it, saying and then asking, "I'm ready to defend myself. Is this really happening?"
  • Aiko has been standing there quiet and still. Her disciplined upbringing had taught her to remain calm until the situation dictated otherwise. But she agrees with Sharla as she inconspicuously pulls two of her throwing daggers and hides them behind her wrists saying, "We cannot escape. However, we must be prepared."
  • Soria has been thinking about what happened when Wendy tried to hold the staff and the staff lashed back. She is very interested in learning more about the weapon (which before the transport had been a broom stick with decorations from a junk drawer glued and taped onto it).
  • But now is not the time, Soria knows. She agrees, "We should just wait.
  • Hannah has been standing there just trembling though she doesn't know why. She isn't anti-violence like Paula but she also can't believe that the Sisters are standing here on a hill with their hands full of real and dangerous weapons as a half dozen men on horseback ride their way.
  • Hannah says with a frightened voice, "I think we should run. I'm scared."
  • Sharla's intelligence has led her to survey the surroundings as Wendy has, and she knows that if they have been spotted (which she is sure they have) they wouldn't be able to get away on foot.
  • Sharla continues with a dominating voice, "Everyone put away your weapons, but be prepared to pull them if need be."
  • Paula agrees and quickly moves about the others with that charismatic smile and those gentle, convincing words.
  • Soon enough, everyone stands down.
  • Weapons are put away, but they are still close enough that if needed they can be pulled quickly.
Responses:
  • I like present tense, so yes.
  • And I like bullet points for turn-by-turn, so yes.
Explanation of die rolls:
  • Sometimes, I will simply tell the tale without die rolls.
  • Other times, a die roll will be necessary.
  • I will incorporate the die roll into the tale as if I rolled as I was telling the tale.
  • I will try to perform this function just as if the two of us were sitting at a living room coffee table playing D&D.
  • And example of the format of a die roll will be as such:
    • (d6<3=2 is a successful die roll. A die roll of <3 was necessary, and the roll was 2.
    • (d6<3=4 is an unsuccessful die roll. A die roll of <3 was necessary, and the roll was 4.
  • I've never tried this online before.
  • We'll have to learn together what works and what doesn't.
Results of your turn:
  • The soldiers come off the ferry and head up the road.
  • Had they seen the strangers on the hill before landing? It was almost a mile away. (d6<3=4).
  • No, they hadn't seen the Sisters.
  • They proceed up the road, arriving at the fork, just a quarter mile away from the strangers. They have a clear view of the top of the hill. Do they see the strangers? (d6<6=3)
  • They do indeed see the Sisters. The lead soldier, the Captain, slows to look at the strangers.
  • Are they on a quest that prevents them from approaching the strangers? (d6<4=4).
  • Yes they are. (Dang! I was hoping for a confrontation. ;))
  • The soldiers continue onward up the left fork away from the strangers.
Next:
  • Wendy is relieved!
  • She tells the others, "We need to find a place to hide and figure out what's going on and where we are."
  • Your choices seem to be:
    • Go to the castle.
    • Go to the village at the river's edge.
    • Go up one of the roads to see what's there.
    • Go to one of the groves or larger forests to hide.
    • Go somewhere else of your choosing.
    • Stay where you are.
    • Other.
My move:
  • Sharla agrees. "We can't stay in the open. We have a choice..."
  • Sharla looks to the castle, the village, the road, and the forest. "Any preferences--" She looks to Wendy to emphasize where she got the next word and finishes, "Sisters?"
  • Barbie is starving. When did they last eat? She says, "I'm hungry." She looks to the village, saying, "There's gotta be food there."
  • Twila's new physiology as an actual Dwarf is going to cause her problems: she now has an insatiable appetite. (For now, the appetite of concern is for food. But later she will learn that she has an insatiable appetite for sex, too.) She agrees with Barbie, voting, "Village."
  • Allie doesn't know it yet, but she is a Mountain Elf. That new aspect of her life causes her to say, "I vote woods. We can kill something there and cook it up."
  • Aiko is more of a city girl. She looks to the castle and says, "Maybe I should try to slip into the city there and learn something about where we are and, well, more."
  • Soria was of the same mind as Aiko. "I can go with her. Together we might--"
  • Sharla cut in, saying, "We can't split up. We need to stay together."
  • Hannah is a River Elf, though like Allie she doesn't know it yet. She looks to the river where it disappears into the trees and feels a pull. She wants to be there, but so far no one else has expressed such an interest. She looks to Sharla who seems to be slowly establishing her dominance and says, "I'll go where you go."
  • Paula, of course, wants to be at the castle. But she also understands that they can't simply walk over the draw bridge into the walled structure without knowing what's going on. She says, "I think the village."
  • The Sisters erupted into a couple of minutes of discussion and argument about the right course, but it was Sharla with her dominant personality and Paula with her charisma that won in the end.
  • Sharla announced, "Then it's settled. We go to the village."
  • They began down the hill to the road, then down it toward the village.
Results:
The Sisters come over a slight rise in the road to get a better view of the village:
  • It is much larger than they'd been able to see from a mile away.
  • The Villagers:
    • There are at least 50 people out and about performing their daily tasks.
    • All of them give the strangers a second glance.
    • Some stand and stare.
    • Others go back to their work.
    • Do the Villagers do anything that the Sisters notice that should alarm them? (d6<4=4)
    • No.
  • The village includes:
    • A church and cemetery.
    • A city square, in which is a farmer's market and around which are buildings:
      • The ground floors are occupied by Merchants: blacksmiths, butchers, weavers, etc.
      • The upper floors are sometimes storage, sometimes living quarters.
    • A sawmill (horse "powered").
    • A windmill-driven grain mill.
    • A boat house, for both storage, repair, and construction.
    • A watch tower, manned at all hours.
    • A stables and corral.
    • An open-walled (roof only) building for community activities, such as sheep shearing, harvest tasks, and festival meals.
    • And an Inn.
Next:
  • Do you continue into town?
  • Do you go to the Inn?
  • Other?
(OOC: I'm having a hard time remembering to write Present Tense. I've never done it. Sorry, but I have to switch back to Past Tense.)
My Move:
  • The village was far bigger than it had appeared from the hill a mile away.
  • The Sisters stopped short, standing in the shade of a grove of tall conifers, studying the town. There were people all about the roads, the fields, the buildings.
  • "Surreal..." murmured Sharla. "It's like something out of a History Channel documentary."
  • There was nothing modern about the place. NOTHING!.
  • They discussed their options.
  • It came down to one simple fact: they were eventually going to have to go down into the village. They were hungry, thirsty, exhausted, information-starved, and (in Twila's case) horny.
  • "Um, I was wondering," Hannah said, catching one set of eyes after another. "I think maybe we might want to consider something."
  • Hannah glanced about at the scantily clad bodies, particularly those of Sharla, Aiko, and Soria.
  • The Sisters had been participating a Halloween party when they were transported here. And being college aged women surrounded by horny college aged men, many of them had been dressed in sexy, scanty costumes.
  • While not as scantily dressed, even Barbie with her impressive and exposed cleavage; Twila with her boosted tits and muscular, bared midriff; and Allie with her tightly wrapped, firm buttocks would attract attention from men with hungry eyes and lonely groins.
  • Heck, even Paula was showing off an impressive bosom and shapely hourglass figure in an elegant gown that Hannah doubted had come out of a costume shop.
  • Hannah and Wendy (who was covered from neck to ankles in a loose fitting dress that almost entirely hid her curves) seemed to be the only Sisters who wouldn't be causing penises to harden with excitement.
  • Sharla followed Hannah's gaze as well and said, "We need to cover up. We're kind of obvious."
If you are following the story, everything that followed this got nixed and replaced with my Host's permission. If you are reading this for the first time and don't see anything below this note, then you don't have to concern yourself with it.
Before I roll for results:
  • You have some people with abilities that might help accomplish the move you made.
  • Add in a couple of additional facts.
  • I'll give you 2 hints:
    • Her name starts with "A".
    • And this is before they leave the road. :)
Thank you for letting me reconsider my move. You're correct: possibly getting caught sneaking off to find clothes won't do much to change how people think about them (9 women of 4 races carrying dozens of weapons), so why take the risk?
My Move:
  • Sharla followed Hannah gaze and said, "We need to cover up. We're kind of obvious."
  • Twila laughed and waved her arms in a way meant to bring attention to her now very short, squat Dwarfish form and huge Battle Ax, then pointed to Allie's tall ears, asking, "What, you don't think we're already obvious enough?"
  • They discussed their situation a moment but finally concluded that the best they could do was just walk into the village like there was nothing special about them.
  • They did their best to hide some of their weapons.
  • And (not knowing whether or not the races were common around here) they put the Dwarf and Elves in the middle, even though Allie's height meant that she and her ears were going to stand out anyway.
  • They headed into the town, with some of them politely smiling to those who made eye contact with them.
  • If they make it to the Inn before getting stopped, they will go inside, find a table or booth, and make themselves comfortable.
Note: I will occasionally perform die rolls for actions, events, incidents, etc., about which I'm not going to tell you unless the result affects you immediately. I just wanted you to know that.
Your Move In Bold and My Results Not:
  • They ... walk(ed) into the village like there was nothing special about them.
  • Did they avoid attention. Hell, I'm not even rolling for that! :D No, they got a lot of attention.
  • Did they attract attention from someone of Authority, such as a Sheriff or Soldier? Secret roll I won't disclose, but I can tell you that you didn't see an Authority figure.
  • They did their best to hide some of their weapons.
  • Did the villagers see them? Again, no roll necessary. Answer: yes.
  • And ... they put the Dwarf and Elves in the middle...
  • They headed into the town, with some of them politely smiling to those who made eye contact with them.
  • No one moved closer to the Sisters, but then no one shied away either.
  • Did anyone make obvious their observation of the Elf and/or Dwarf (meaning they stared, pointed, said something, etc.)? (d6<3=2)
  • Yes! A small child pointed in excitement, then looked to a woman and said with childish delight, "Look, momma, an Elf!"
  • Did the woman react in a way that showed concern or worry? (d6<4=1; a "1" is a Vital Roll, meaning that the worst I think could happen does.)
  • The woman grabs her son by the hand and runs off toward a distant building. Is she going to an Authority; or just running for home?
  • If they make it to the Inn before getting stopped, they will go inside, find a table or booth, and make themselves comfortable.
Inside the Inn:
  • The activity inside the Inn quickly ceases: movement, music, conversation, and even the flirting and pawing taking place between Tavern Wenches and the men in whose laps they are sitting comes to a stop as the tavern's occupants look up to see the odd looking strangers entering.
  • The Tavern is crowded, considering it's midday:
    • There is a Bartender, a Barmaid, a Lute Player, and 2 Tavern Wenches (which is my polite way of saying whore.
    • There are some men who appear to be local laborers:
      • 2 eating at the bar (which is not in the picture).
      • 2 pairs at tables, eating and drinking.
      • None appear to be armed with anything more than a dagger.
    • There are men who appear to be travelers (seeing how the Village is on a main road at a ferry):
      • 2 at the bar.
      • 2 trios and 1 pair at tables.
      • Most have daggers and one has a short sword.
    • And there are 4 soldiers sitting at the 2nd floor table in the picture:
      • They appear to be wearing the same uniforms as the riders the Sisters had seen earlier.
      • They are all armed with short swords; one has a cross bow; and one has a bow.
      • The two Tavern Wenches are in the laps of two of them.
  • Again, did anyone show alarm beyond just stares and whispering? (d6<4=4)
  • No. They just look and whisper amongst themselves.
  • ...they will go inside, find a table or booth, and make themselves comfortable
  • The Barmaid comes over to take their orders.
My move:
  • The emotions felt, expressions shown, and actions taken by the Sisters varied greatly as they entered the tavern's interior and viewed its diverse occupants.
  • Sharla gave every face a quick glance, looked for weapons and uniforms, and planned an escape route in case it became necessary. She found a large table butting up against one wall and pointed the others to it.
  • Barbie's hand never left the hilt of her sword and she moved to take a seat.
  • Allie looked up to find the soldiers on the second deck eying the strangers. She thought maybe she could lessen their worries by partially disarming herself. She stood her recurve bow on the cobblestones at her feet, pressed the top end downward to remove the tension from the bowstring, and unstrung it. With a skill she hadn't even known she possessed, she quickly wrapped the loosed end of the bowstring around the handle in a way that would allow her to restring it in just seconds if she needed. She thought to herself, When did I learn to do that?
  • Aiko didn't join the other Sisters at the table, though. With her bow having been unstrung upon entering the village, she made her way toward the far end of the bar, watching the reactions of the locals. She rapped her knuckles on the counter for the bartender's attention, lifted an extended finger to indicate that she wanted one drink brought to her table, then made her way toward a little table sitting in the opposite corner of where the others were sitting.
  • Soria was watching Aiko's departure, and when the Sister gave her a glance, Soria made an inconspicuous head nod. Aiko understood and gestured inconspicuously toward the stool opposite the one she would soon sit on.
  • Hannah saw the group splitting up and didn't understand what was happening. Wasn't there safety in numbers? She didn't understand that the other two women were creating two separate firing zones for the Sisters' archers should a fight break out.
  • Sharla reached out and took the little River Elf's arm, telling her, "Sit with me, Hannah."
  • Paula was the only one of the Sisters who was wearing a smile. The inn was quaint, like the one she'd spent a weekend at on a family vacation to Scotland one year. She greeted several of the guests as she walked about, unconcerned with the looks she was getting.
  • QUESTION: What was the reaction to Paula's friendliness, considering her charisma level?
  • But the Sister who really stood out was Twila. She was a Dwarf in a building full of Humans (if you ignored the two Elves who had entered with her), yet she walked right in with the confidence of a BWOC (Big Woman On Campus).
  • Twila didn't realize that she was being a bit forward as she walked around from table to table smiling to all the men, saying hi to many, even reaching out to pat a few muscular arms. Her libido was running wild, though in her mind she was just Twila.
  • Paula intercepted the Dwarf in the middle of the tavern, suggesting that they go find a seat, but Twila was on the hunt for a man and didn't want to sit anywhere but on a big brute's lap.
  • QUESTION: What is the reaction to Paula, Twila, Aiko/Soria, and the rest.
If you think it appropriate, we can go into more of a short post role play mode. Or we can stick with what we're doing.
Your move in bold and my results not:
  • Sharla gave every face a quick glance, looked for weapons and uniforms, and planned an escape route...
  • The soldiers upstairs took note of the women entering the tavern:
    • Did they note the Elves and Dwarf? They're pretty good at their jobs. (d6<6=3)
    • Yes, they noticed.
    • Did they show concern about non-Humans? (Secret roll: to tell you would indicate whether or not Elves and Dwarves are a security issue, and I'm not ready to do that yet.)
    • They didn't appear overly concerned.
    • However, they maintained their attention on the strangers.
    • Then they noticed the strangers splitting up. Did that raise flags? (Secret roll.)
    • Two of the Soldiers stood unhurriedly, one walking to the railing still clutching the Tavern Wench he drug along with her; while the other casually descended the stairs to head for the bar and a view of Aiko andSoria in the corner.
    • Did Allie's unstringing of her bow ease any possible stress? (Secret roll.)
  • Paula got the most attention initially. Most of the tavern's occupants just stared at her; a couple returned her polite greeting; and one man made the lewd comment, "Must be one'a'them uppity whores from the Court." He got laughter from the men at his table and the adjacent ones.
  • Her Charisma Bonus only seemed to affect the man behind the bar who -- thinking she was from the King's Court but certainly not a whore -- asked with a polite tone, "May I get you and your entourage a round of drinks and some dinner, m'lady?"
  • That was about the time the Dwarf showed up!
  • Twila's lewd behavior riled up many of the men in her vicinity of the tavern floor.
  • Were they attracted to her flirtation behavior? d6<5=4.
  • Oh, yeah! Some returned her flirtations; one, seeing her toy with a built man's bicep, flexed his for attention then laughed when she grasped it, too; and one even reached out and groped her ass as she passed.
  • Were any of them affected adversely by the fact that she was a Dwarf? d6<5=6.
  • No, not at all! None of the men seemed at all concerned that the flirtatious short thing was not of their race.
  • When Paula intercepted the Dwarf in the middle of the tavern, suggesting that they go find a seat...
  • ...the men at the nearest table interjected. They encouraged Twila to sit with them, one of them even reaching out to her waist and pulling her into his lap.
  • No sooner had that man sat Twila with him than another man grasped Paula about the waist and pulled her into his lap, too.
  • The second man, already intoxicated, called to the Bar Maid, "Drinks for our new friends!" He looked to the corner table at which 5 of the Sisters sat, forgetting or not knowing about the two behind him, "Drinks for all our new friends."
My move:
  • Twila was having a ball. She gladly let the big man pull her into his lap. She ground one side of her muscular ass into his groin, causing him to groan in a bit of pain and delight both. She snatched up his flask of ale and took a huge, long drink of it before slamming the container back down to the table and exclaiming, "Shit! That's thick!"
  • Paula wasn't nearly as tickled to be in a strange man's lap, but he was so strong she couldn't easily pull away. She dealt with it as best she could, politely making sure that his grabby hands stayed off her tits.
  • At the big table near the door, Barbie began to rise, an angry look in her face as she watched the strangers mauling her Sisters. She was ready to kick some ass!
  • Sharla grasped the woman's arm, pulling her back. "Wait! Just, relax a moment. They're fine, for now."
  • Allie's attention was on the soldiers, not the locals. She had grown up suspicious of authority. For years she had told people that her father (a cop) was emotionally and physically abusing her. But because the abuse hadn't been sexual and there had been no evidence (such as bruises), no one had believed her, let alone done anything about it. She had to wait until he had actually raped her, providing her with the proof of semen inside her torn and bruised pussy, before she could shoot him and bring and end to her pain. So she watched the soldier at the railing and descending the stairs both with a growing level of concern.
  • In the corner, Aiko and Soria were tensing but remaining as they were. Aiko wasn't the type to react until her action was certainly necessary; and Soria, well, she really didn't want to get into a bar fight over a couple of women that she thought should be able to take of themselves on their own. If they hadn't wanted this kind of attention, she thought, they should have sat their asses down.
