I read the entire article and Ms McElroy makes some good points. However, I believe she is oversimplifying the solutions. For example when she notes that we should just leave people's private choices alone (ex be a stay at home mom or to be heterosexual) and leave them personal. However the flip side of this is that pro-life supporters would need to abandon their protests and intimidations outside of clinics that give abortions. I'll try to avoid being disdainful of your choices if you back off of mine.

We don't live in a nice civil society, nor will we ever. In a civil society, Ms McElroy's solutions might make more sense. Unfortuantely I think that PC serves as a far left corrective to far right ideologies. But I would agree that both have gone too far and are perhaps outdated and useless.
