I LOVE Sushi

Summer is comming to a close and soon our local Sushi Bar will close and I will go back to making it at home and dragging my husband 3 towns over to the nearest sushi restaurant (The Inahoe, best sushi outside of NYC hands down).

My absolute favorite is (and I'm going to use English because I am not a pretentios snob who enjoys making people ask "what does that mean?") the spicy tuna handroll. Yellow fin tuna, avacado, scallion, spicy mayo and flying fish roe (eggs). Fuckin' YUM!

I have an adiction. I honestly eat it 3 or 4 times a week or I get horrible cravings.

Anyone else adicted?

Oh yeah. The fun thing about being here is there are ten jillion sushi bars and noodle places.

When I go home I am going to make my buddy here send me eel and smelt roe via fedex.

First choice is Sake....Tuna on rice..mmmm

second is Dynamite roll....Salmon, tuna, scallions inside toasted to crisp and topped with spicy cream sauce and fish roe

I eat it atleast once a week...more if i can

NEVER eat sushi in a state that doesn't border the ocean. lol Hell I won't even eat cooked seafood in a land locked state.

But if you ever vacation at the beach or something, try it. Go with someone who's a pro so they can tell you what to order, but make sure it's not someone with a sick sense of humor. You probably don't want octopus to be your first taste. lol

I hate it when cook/cheff fucks up a good thing, like, topping pizza with diced pineapple. Yuck!

Crap, I love how it burns your nose in that way that makes you about to fall over clutching your heart!

A friend of mine likes to mix the wasabi, soy sauce and some ginger together. Pretty ok.

Uncooked or semi-cooked fish on Sushi-rice is Shushi.
Thinly sliced un-cooked fish is Sashimi.

I love sushi, my husband is addicted tho, if he could eat them every day he would. But those little babies are expensive so hubby have started making them. As for me, my favorite one is the California roll but any rolls will do. I like tempura too.




any sushi lover have notice how the smell of our farts are much more enhance after eating sushi, *lol* no joke, its smell more awful than usual!!!!!

Really good sushi or sashimi is one of life great pleasures for me (I not much of an eating person and have the pallet of an 8 year old)...than finish the meal of with a glass of plum wine......you got me wanting...

I love sushi. And yes, I agree, it's the wasabi that's addicting. I've heard so many storied about people mistaking wasabi for guacamole, putting a huge chunk of it on a chip, or a cracker or something, and just downing it. Can you imagine the surprise when your tongue tells you it isn't mashed avacado??

Muhahahahaaa....

Btw, I've tried some of the more out there types of sushi, but my favorite is still california and philadelphia rolls. the spicy tuna's are good, too.
