AAAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!

Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest, it's been one of those days. :(

older or younger?

Of course, I suppose it doesn't matter... daughters are daughters!! lol

*sigh*

i 2nd that emotion...w/ just one daughter...

As a father of 3 daughters, all I can say is that they will grow out of it by their mid 20s or perhaps 30s.

Sons never grow out of it.

I'm proud of my three now. Sometimes I could have...

Even the youngest will finish her 6 years at University next year with a medical degree to go with the B.Sc in Microbiology.

By the end of 2004 two of the three daughters will be married.

Soon I'll be worrying about the grandchildren.

My greatnephews and greatnieces - my brother can worry about them.

Little ones. A 2 year old, the other a little over 3 months.

Sympathies to all moms!

You know the worst part of it all?

When they fall asleep.

When you gaze at those cherubic faces snuggling in their blankets, sweetly and innocently slumbering - you're filled with enough parental love to burst your heart.

(and then a whole lotta mom guilt for harboring those angry feelings a couple of hours earlier.)

*sigh*

Tomorrow will probably be better?

:rose:

I have two grown daughters. When they were small they would come into my bedroom some mornings and wake me up with a kiss. Nothing I can remember has ever been sweeter than waking up to find two beautiful little angels hovering over me, grinning from ear to ear, proud to have waked up first and anxious to show their daddy that they loved him.

I do hope they're younger than him.

Hang in there CD, there are ups and downs. Or so I'm told.

Kids can make you want to lock them in the basement one minute, and kiss them all over the next.

I do the Kids In The Hall thing when I get aggravated with mine, and "pinch their heads off." Gets rid of my frustration, and they think it's funny as hell.

You have my sympathies, CD.

Sorry for flooding this thread, but that is so beautiful.

I get morning hugs every day. They growl at me if I forget (which I never do LOL)

They're so special. The smiles make up for so much. I love my kids.

Cheer up. In a mere 15-20 years, you'll be able to laugh at them as they scream in anguish over their kids' behavior. :p

(The "Mothers' Curse" is really the best revenge, even if it takes a while to be effective.)

Thanks for the symtathies everyone (Sympathies for Moms? What about sympathies for Dads?)

Today is going much better, they got some sleep and so did I. :)

LOL! Sorry!

In my family the moms tend to carry most of the guilt over child-rearing.

(and of course cause most of the guilt in their children.) :D

Deev, I had an incalculable advantage over your situation, I now realize. I had one child only. One and one is more than two in the effects they can produce. Lime's situation (and yours in a while) was really de luxe in our household. Her teenage years were a joy. A co-conspirator might have changed the picture; I know it did when my sibs went through their teens. Those guys ran complicated scams on the parents sometimes to cover each other.

I believe, though, that the kids will be low maintenance if they think the regime is basically sound.

Well, "I hope your children are just like you," is called the Mothers' Curse, butI don't know of any law or custom that keeps fathers from casting it too. :p

I sure know that urge to scream. My little one is nearly three and bossy, intelligent and as cute as hell.

She gets away with blue murder with everyone but me.

So who gets all the "ARGGGHHHH" moments here?

Mummy *L*

She can be a little cherub when the mood takes her and she is so witty and insightful. she amazes me and makes me smile several times a day.

Thank the good Lord for daughters (Mine in particular*L*)

Hi EL,

I used to think my daughter was hard work.

Then I had a son!!!!!

Believe me, in the early years, girls are easy!!!!

Hmmm, I think it depends on the individual child, as opposed to their gender.

I used to think daughters were *easy*, until I had my second! My first was easy to amuse (very bright and bubbly and so on), my second, well, she was a little bugger! Very whiney and whingey and extremely demanding, but incredibly loving with it. Now they are both just little angels the whole time. ;)

They both take after me.
