Ach. At least you find out what books you need beforehand so you can try and get cheaper books online.. but I don't find out until the first class. Its fucked. Last year one of the books I needed was $295. ONE BOOK. Fucked.

Well, at least it was big and heavy. I have yet to buy the TAXX202 textbook but that's gonna be another 200 dollars in the hole. I hope it's the big black book with over 1 000 pages and stuff (I never saw it since there was none in stock as I was getting my books.) Otherwise it's going to feel like a waste.

Totally obscene. They know you need their book, that you have to have that one book, and no other book will do, therefor they can mark it up 500% and there is nothing you can do about it. Its totally fucked. Its even worse when the professor assigns a friends book, just to make his friend some money, and then hardly use the book. That happened to me twice last semester. "Its a great book, my friend wrote it, its really insightful, you'll love it, I promise."
