i know people always say stuff like this but i think german shepherds are the best breeds of dogs

he's a very sensitive dog and because im unwell he's been following me around the house wherever i go ... he was sleeping at the foot of the bed and as i've come downstairs now he's come down here and laying under my feet :)

i'll have to get a picture of him for you guys :)

anyway has anyone else owned a german shepherd this is our second one (who's the grandson of our first)

(no talking about cats in this thread :p)

SOOOOOO, there is a male in your life!

P.S. - I have two kitties!

Mr K and I hve one back in the US. He is not a proper one though, some sort of mix; he was a stray that just sort of wandered into our lives one day and never left, and he's a bit of an idiot boy. Big, dumb, hairy, smelly, monster. I miss him very much :( .

yeah lobito although he's a big softy really

our first one peachy was probably the smartest animal i know but a bit too agressive

this one is much softer and sensitive he likes to be cuddled more then any dog i know ... when its windy he gets scared and tries to come up onto the sofa :)

but i think if someone broke in he'd go for them ... no matter how we see him as a softy you have to be aware that they can go

and he's very dumb too ... today i threw his bone at him and it rolled between his legs but he didn't see it ... so he was looking all panicky around the room trying to find his bone but not realizing it was just behind him :)

nope, not mine, He is very, definitely, most assuredly dumb.

although, he was smart enough to find a couple of suckers to take him in off the street...

See dogs aren't dumb

We had a German Sheperd. He was the most godawful animal I ever known. He was stupid, destructive, and he could not leave you the fuck alone. He also had epilepsy on top of everything else. I hated that animal, I swear.

ours isn't just playing dumb either :)

he was quite destructive as a puppy he chew a hole in the wall and once ate a whole bag of new potatoes (he wasn't even sick)

I've had my share of purebreads (including a shepherd) and mutts.

Without question, the mutts were the "best" pets (and the smartest).

I don't like German Sheperds much, I was almost attacked twice by them so I'm a little leary of them.

I love dogs though and I have Akita.

i haven't got any pics tonight :) but i will try and get some ... i love aprils doggy too ... very pretty

kitty i know they can be like that ... our 1st german shepherd was too aggressive and he did sometimes give people a nip but he was meant to be more of a guard dog

so we wanted to make sure this one wouldn't be like that ... so he's a real family dog we're not even sure if he would attack someone who broke in :)

he'd actually be a cool way to meet girls because he loves meeting people when i walk him he always trys to go over to see people and often they like to pat him :)

I know the way they were raised didn't help the situation. I've met some good german shepherds too though. I guess any breed can be bad if that's what they're taught.
