It went all downhill from there for them.

You would think they won the Presidency last night.

It was definitely a good night for the GOP. Even expanded its majority in the TX legislature. Great to see Rory being a good sport and joining the celebration. Let’s keep this party rolling in 2022! 🇺🇸👏🇺🇸🙌🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸👊🏼🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🍻🇺🇸

You'd think everyone lived in Virginia with amount of circle jerk going on

I haven't yet seen the same reaction about the New Jersey results...

Maybe they don't identify with that demographic the same?

They did. I have been saying this for the last 3 months...open your fucking eyes. Democrats WILL LOSE the House, Senate and Presidency in the next 2 elections BECAUSE YOU ALL HAVE YOUR HEAD UP YOUR ASSES. If you can't lead...if you can't advance your agenda...then you don't deserve to be in power.

Still too close to call, but no matter who the winner is, this is a stunning rejection of Democratic leadership. Less than a year ago, Biden carried the state by 16 points. So your point is well taken. We can all feel good about what happened in NJ. 👍🇺🇸

Any state that moved closer to idolization of the orange one is not something to feel good about.

Trumpism is ignorance.

Immaterial. It exists. And he will beat Biden if the Democrats don't accept reality.

There was no movement towards "Trumpism"; there was Covid fatigue, progressive legislation frustration, and disappointment with Democrats ability to take full advantage of their control of comgress and the presidency. Messaging was also lacking once again, as was a less than inspiring candidate in McAuliffe

Ultimately, I would be perfectly fine with President Biden's legacy being a robust Covid response, ending the war in Afghanistan, the American rescue plan, the Bipartisan physical infrastructure bill, the Build back better human infrastructure bill, and the repairing of relations with our allies.

👍

He might. Nobody should be looking past next year atm

Exactly WHY we should be focusing on getting something done. We have another liberal judge on the Supreme Court that will need replaced. Failure only results in 3 options. One is forgetting liberal ideals for the next 2 decades. Two is violence. The third is admitting this country is finished as a "united" anything and starting the process of breakup. We have 3 years to accomplish this. Period.

I've lobbied my reps for actions on policies I agree with. I'm not in favor of drastic changes that many progressives support.

I'm focused on 2022 elections.

McCauliffe tried to make it about Trump. His poll numbers fell. So he tried to strapping himself to teachers unions. His numbers still sucked. So he brought Obama to VA. Numbers kept falling. So he then did the dumbest, most desperate move imaginable. He had Kamala and Dementia Joe campaign for him.

Youngkin ignored Trump. Campaigned on parental control over children’s education, against mandates, and for lower taxes. GOP won G, LG, AG, and control of House. And that’s why we’re celebrating today and you’re not.

Right?

Dems won huge on the down ballot in many states. A lot of firsts happened for minorities (lookin' at you, Michelle Wu!) and the final tally ain't been done yet.

Don't get me wrong, the schmucks deserve to stroke themselves over Virginny. Fair's fair. They totally own busting their nuts off today.

enjoy it while it lasts, yo. political honeymoons get shorter and shorter by the pound each year, is all I'm sayin'! :D

It takes a lot of work to get people out to vote. Sometimes, it can be a simple rally cry....for the left...it's never as easy as a one liner.

But there's a lot of runway left. And Virginia has not been a good indicator, historically, on midterm races, federally. Dems need to work local....need to talk to folks directly and work the policies we know are sound. And then work locally to ensure voters understand changing election landscapes they'll have to navigate to get their vote counted.

I'm always optimistic...and the local election went exactly how I voted..so feeling good about the next one. Let them whack off to small victories ...

I'm always amazed out how many (number) threads they need on the exact same topic
