I have been hacked

someone has hacked into my account with Yahoo and sent junk mail to all my contacts. If you have recieved an email from me with a link to a work at home service, be advised that it wasn't me sending it. I have changed my password and hope that all is well but if you get more mail from me please let me know. I want to stop this and will take whatever steps is necessary.

You should also advise anyone that received one of those emails to delete it and change their own passwords to avoid further contamination down the line.

I had the same thing happen last year. It was dumb, and I didn't enjoy it.

That is a good idea but I don't know who got the mail. That is why I am making this post. If you received email from me in the last couple of days, it really wasn't from me. You might very well need to take precautions.

The same thing happened to me two days ago. I thought it was passed to me by someone on my contact list, but now I'm starting to think it may have originated here. Or it could just be a coincidence.

It happened to me on two of my other e-mail accounts last year. Changing the password seems to cure the problem.

Changing your password is good. Changin your password to a string with at least one change of case and including both at least a letter and a numeric digit is better.
Using a clever password like 'password' '123456' or 'test' is not good.
