I have a story to tell you.

It happened many many years ago. Some say it even happened before the beginning of time. But those someone's would be wrong because it really happened yesterday. Then again, that would make me wrong because I started this out telling you that this happened many many years ago. So maybe it really did happen before the beginning of time.

Truth is, no one really knows for sure, but what I do know... for sure... completely and truly - is that it did happen. Oh yes...

I remember it like it was only yesterday. But I wasn't there. No one was. Well, except for the people who were there. But we're not really sure if anyone was there because this happened so long ago that the details are lost in the mists of time. Or maybe the details are just lost in the mists because if this really did happen before the beginning of time there wouldn't have been any "mists of time" there would only be mists. Hell, maybe there wouldn't even be mists. Who knows.

But, truth is, it happened. This much we know.

How do we know this? Because we do. Its so basic that imagining our world, this universe, without it would be devastating. It would be counter to everything that we've ever believed, ever hoped. So we KNOW this. We insist on knowing this. Knowing this is essential to our being. Therefore we KNOW.. oh yes, we KNOW it happened. Whether it happened yesterday or many years ago or in the mists of time, or just in the mists before time existed, we know, we know, oh yes we KNOW.
