I have a small white bump on my penis, its about the size of a hole in a watch, no bigger. pretty small. I know its not an STD, could it be a pimple? it doesn't hurt or scratch but its been there for a week and I don't know what it is or how to get rid of it. Not the most comfortable person in front of a doc. Please help.

I don't know many people that ARE very comfortable in front of a doctor in that regard. I'm certainly not. Still. If it's of great concern to you, your best bet is to go to the doctor. Something I've learned along the way is that fear of a doctor can really screw you over in the long run.

I would second Azure's recommendation. Go to the doctor, there is nothing to be ashamed of. Yeah, you're gonna feel uncomfortable...but you'll feel better when you leave, I'm thinking.

Could be genital warts, they are quite common. But go see a DR. and find out for sure!

Typically, no. They're usually transmitted through sexual contact, Oral, anal or vaginal.

I'm not sure shaking hands will transmit the virus!

P.S. When I studied STD's for class.. I remember text books saying the virus that makes genital warts.. can be transmitted via regular warts like on hands and feet. Something to think about.
