How much time will it take for moderators to analyse the story to publish ?

Any help from editors greatly appreciated as well

The turn around on story publishing right now is about 2-3 days. If the story is edited while in the queue then it will re-set the submission date and it could take longer.

A chain story is a collaboration of a number of authors, each writing part of the story.

The usual way to start a chain story is to post the idea in the story ideas forum, or to ask in the Authors' Hangout for authors to join the project.

It isn't easy to start a chain story, nor is it easy to get others to participate. Even if you do, getting authors to complete their contribution can be like trying to herd cats.

The Authors Hangout did one on the Olympics. My part:

And because we found it so hard to get a chain story completed we did The Worst Chain Story Ever:

It was "The Worst"! Apart from the content, chapters were never written, and links between one part and the next were ignored, and we excelled at deliberate bad writing.

A story can be posted as a complete version (with internal chapters to break it up) or in separate chapters.

Some people use chapters to write unending stories involving the same characters.

If you want a story to appear as a set of chapters or parts, you have to start with an identical title followed by Ch.01; Ch.02 (or Pt.01; Pt.02) etc.

Like this:

My Story Ch.01 They Meet
My Story Ch.02 First Date
My Story Ch.03 They argue

and so on.

I recommend starting with 01 because if you start with 1 the story will appear like this:

My Story Ch.1 They Meet
My Story Ch.11 Engaged
My Story Ch.12 Engaged? Not.
etc.
My Story Ch.2 First Date
My Story Ch.21...
My Story Ch.3 They argue
