Where is the wave of terrorism some people predicted if we liberated Iraq?

Could they be wrong - again?

Aw, give 'em a break. You know how hard it is to keep wars and insurection on a timetable--just think of the poor terrorists.

This was actually something I was thinking about the other day in combination with the war protests.

If there were sleeper cells in the States the best way for them to cause massive amounts of fear and distrust would be to steal/create some law enforcment uniforms.

Then go to a protest and shoot some protesters from a slight distance.

People expect terrorists to act impulsively.

They are methodic and patient.

I hope it doesn't happen, but it will.

I'm wondering why it already hasn't. What could they be waiting for?

Even though the terrorists act out of revenge and with a purpose... they are patient. They may be waiting for a signal.

There is no one factor to determine their timing. They'll do it or attempt to, when they want.

They're waiting for you to let your guard down. It wouldn't be very terrorising if you knew they were coming.

My opinion is based on the fact that the people who made the predictions are always wrong anyway.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. They make excellent barometers.

The terrorism has already started.

Look at Bob's av.

Isn't that evidence?

It is certianly terrifying me!

Ouch........

:D

You're assuming they give a shit.

Being wrong hardly stops them.

Because the world's message is divided--almost everyone on the planet sides against the US and Israel (Blair and Howard in the middle). Iraq is getting international sympathy--a chemical attack or other terror ambush turns the tables. Mixed messages--good cop/bad cop is a proven technique--bad cops are in power, good cops need to make sure bad cops don't kill everybody to enact justice.

Almost everyone on the planet?

Care to quantify that with facts and numbers, and not what you see on tv?

You mean like all the posts where you said you doubted we would actually go to war in Iraq?

hehe.

Maybe they are letting the CIA and FBI actually stop them now.

No, you mean the post where I admitted I was dead wrong.

Or those many times you predicted we would 'kick arse' and you couldn't wait for the killing to start?

Barometer is right, you're up and down like a bleeding yo-yo...

I hope you're not referring to me.

Why would you do that? I'm just trying to figure out what the old drunk is on about now.

Only that idiot boy miles was asking where the terrorists were now that we had liberated Iraq...

I just didn't know we had...
