was looking through a gardening catalogue and thinking of flowers for the spring
i love the moment when the first snowdrops peek through the ground to celebrate the end of winter ,followed by crocuses. my favourite flowers are freesias , so delicate and colourful but full of scent , spring time is wonderful with fields full of daffodils swaying in the breeze and multicoloured tulips swinging in unison . or walking through an enchanted wood past primroses into a leafy glade filled with bluebells and meadows full of buttercups and laying on the grass making daisy chains. hiking over moors covered with gorse bushes and heather .but there are two flowers i cannot abide , one is the hyacinth and the other is lavender , i like strong vivid colours or pastel shades but i dont like the blue colour of hyacinths or the wishywashy colour of lavender . i think i am more biased against lavender because i rerally cant stand the smell. i started to study aroma therapy and the two fragrances. best suited to calming moods are supposed to be lavender and vanilla i tried lavender in my place of work and it made me feel nauseous i am not keen on vanilla either but it did seem to have some effect although i found the fragrance a little heavy for a confined place . maybe i will have to get a jasmine tree for work .
