What I hate is that dealers are around 24/7 but if a junkie asks for help, that help takes weeks or months to come.

Two of my daughters' friends became junkies. One made everyone's life a misery. She stole, lied, and was physically aggressive to her parents and sisters. Eventually, they couldn't cope. She died of an overdose in a burned out house.

The other joined some New Age Travellers and was frequently in minor trouble with the law, but one of her fellow travellers took months to get her clean. Now she is clean and has been for five years.

Both were beautiful and intelligent young women. The one who died looked about thirty years older than she was. The one who is now clean still looks about a decade older than her years.

The dealers don't care. They just want money. How the junkies get it isn't their concern.
