I don't wish them dead, I wish they'd get help buuuuttt...I'm pretty sick and tired of being told to feel sorry for them and of celebrity junkies being elevated to sainthood.

I seems that most junkies have come to loath their own existence and hasten to end it by using toxic drugs to cope with the reality of being who they are and what they are.
I take no delight in the death of such people but there is no doubt that the world would be a better place without them.

Here's a better way to put it. I don't TRUST junkies, I don't want them around me, and I don't want to associate with them in any shape or form. But I don't hate them.
I hate DRUGS. Period. Hard drugs- meth, heroin, cocaine- and all these new ones like bath salts, flakka, and whatever other kinds of synthetic poison people are into using these days. I hate all of it, I hate what it does to people, and I hate the effects of it on society.
You can hate a thing, or an idea, but not a person. I have far fewer problems with stuff like alcohol or marijuana as they are relatively harmless but even still (as we all know) these can be abused and can cause irreparable harm to people, loved ones and communities- especially that first one (Booze is more addicting than pot.)

Nicotine is more addictive than booze. So the studies say. Junkies do stupid things for stupid reasons. They make horrible decisions and hurt others to get what they need. Junkies are born out of a fucked up brain. Junkies don't choose to be junkies, they have to be junkies. They chose to take their first drug, and probably the second or third. Nobody intends on becoming a junkie, but when your brain tells you that you need something to stay alive, your body tends to follow. I have sympathy and empathy for junkies, but I don't for their actions that effect others. Instead of locking them in over crowded prisons, why not get them help? Show those brains that they don't need them drugs. I'm sure that would be much cheaper than locking someone away for life, just because they chose to use a drug.
