I Hate Blackmail As A Plot Device

Yes, but I've not seen any areolae that large (and I've seen a lot of porn) except on large, distended by weight breasts, although they appear in stories with alarming regularity and most often on firm, non-drooping ones.

I especially hate it in porn stories. It has nearly run me off of several stories never to come back again because it really is an annoying plotline.

Maybe that's because I don't fall for blackmail scams? They are so easy to get out of. If it's something that won't get you tossed in jail, call the cops. If it's something that could, murder is always an option. Usually just bringing the item being blackmailed over into the public eye before the blackmailers can takes away all of their power. How do you blackmail someone who will admit to anything you accuse him of?

It's just not something that works with me. Maybe that's because I'm an honest person.

What does everyone else want to see less of in the stories they read?

What I find especially annoying is the progressive blackmail schemes. Blackmailer takes picture of woman naked, threatens to send them to her coworkers (whatever). Makes her have sex with him, or do something else humiliating. The blackmailer takes pictures during the further humiliation to get her to do something else. And so on, until the person is a veritable slave. As you said, unrealistic.

I read a story like that once. It turned me off so much, I have no idea why I finished it. Things just kept getting worse for her. I kept wanting someone to help her, but no one ever did.

Women being blackmailed for sex occurs all the time in real life.

Sometimes the blackmail threat is subtle and sometimes not, but the point gets across and often the woman succumbs.

Some women have a whole lot to lose - children, money, security, social standing.

Cops are notorious for it.

Dishonest people get blackmailed all the time. I tend to sometimes get perturbed when the story legitimizes the use of blackmail as "rape, but not rape". Well, actually, logically, whenever IS blackmail NOT a form of rape?

Ah, I see only_more_so has beaten me to this. Ah well. I certainly agree. Stories that use this in order to get a guy into a woman's pants? I rarely see that, or maybe I just avoid it, but now that I have thought about it, if I see it in a story I will be hard pressed NOT to avoid that author. ESPECIALLY if the blackmailer-for-sex character is portrayed as the hero-protagonist.
