The cool part about being new - walking into that lunch room with everyone staring at you and wondering "who you are" is......

That you can be whoever you want to be. Sure you can "by you" but you can be the "new improved, cool you."

It's all about self confidence and healthy self image - you already have a good head start.....

Simply by staring a thread - many lurkers here, wish they had your courage.

Now, would you like to try out for the male lead in the next school production of Annie? You say you don't sing? Well, nobody knows that here and everyone else here is afraid to try out for the part. Take advantage of being new and go for it. Even if you suck - you are better than they for having tried.

It was my experience that "new kids" had a certain amount of leverage and novelty value in inter-gender relationships that if they were smart, they could use to there great advantage.
