i has popcorn!

and alcohol

my poor stomach

It can't be that bad. I went to see True Grit this afternoon. It's 10 times the movie the first version tried to be. The real shame of it is this one would never have been made if the John Wayne had not won the Oscar for his.

Popcorns!? I'm afraid I am too old to indulge in unhealthy foods. Since I turned 68 last year, I have started to snack only on gerber carrots. Do not feel bad for me. I might be old, but I am not senile. No, not yet. ;D

Popcorn's never been a real favorite of mine, going back to when I was a kid at home.
Alcohol was, too much, so I haven't had any in many years.

Plain popcorn is actually pretty good for you. The butter's the issue. I'm a diabetic and its actually a recommended food stuff. You can eat about three cups as a single serve of carb. I love it, cause I used to enjoy tha sugary treats at the movies and can't now. Popcorn's all I got left.

oh! sounds well worth going to see then, if i get the chance. as for John Wayne, i often wonder if he was frustrated as an actor, wanting to flex other talents when all they'd allow him to be was 'John Wayne - the product'.

one man's popcorn's another man's cardboard, i guess. as for the alcohol, congratulations, each and every day. :rose:

It doesn't effect my blood sugar, so I do, though your not supposed to. I have given up booze and sugar for this bitch. I am not giving up salt and caffiene!

I'm a massive carb junkie so this is really hard for me and I have pretty much ceased enjoying my food at all. I am not a fan of protein and they get you on something like atkins. I swear if I see another steak I'll scream!! (I'd be vege, but my body simply won't buy it; like it or not, I am an omnivore).

salted popcorn is disgusting and why oh why did my very overweight step daughter give me a very large tin of Quality Street? My Hubby said give it away ....... yeah right

Now that I think about it, a bit of caramel coated popcorn is OK.
Like CrackerJacks or one part of those big cans.

As for meal food, both meat and vegies work for me (but not seafood)

I loves me some popcorn. And I do not drink alcohol, so you can have my share!

Also I haz roasted pistachios. Want some? :D

Nuts are allowed. Can I score a couple of your pistachios and we can sit in the corner and watch the others get pissed off their nuts?:D

*nods and raises his blue Monster drink in toast*

I hear ya. Well, not on the salt...I never was that into a lot of salt, but I have hypertension on top of the diabetes, so I watch it that much more.

I am feeling you brother. I am hypertensive too but really well controlled now and as I don't slather my food with salt everyday, I figure the occassional salty treat won't kill me. I am sympathetic. About two years ago, my bp went completely out of control and I had to cut out caffiene, sugar and salt completely and it was still 250/150. They were telling me i could drop dead at any minute. Wasn't fun...
