I had to shake my head today. My next door neighbor is selling his trailer. Yes I do realize that it is a couple of years newer than my place. (Mine is a 1969 and his is a 1975.) I paid $1K for my place.
I have seen the inside of his place, it is beat to hell and needs a ton of work. There are rotten spots in the floor and the walls need a lot of work. The trailer doesn't have Storm Shutters, while mine does.
I have started rebuilding my place to my specifications. (The front and central rooms have had the paneling ripped out. I have inspcted the studs and replaced those with rot. I have also added extra studs using bolt in flanges. Now instead of studs every 18 inches I have studs every 9 inches. I have also screwed the exterior covering to the studs as well as to the firring strips. My place also has newly emplaced anchors and Nor'Easter Straps. {Straps over the roof.}
Oh I should add that he is selling his place for $78K.
