I was in a shopping center (mall) where there was a chinese guy (looking a bit like Sammo from Martial Law) entertaining some kids, making mathematical models out of card, but really quickly. There was some insanely jolly music playing (which I kinda remember, and have re-created in rough form), and all the kids were laughing and smiling and enjoying the show.
I think the Sammo was making the music somehow, busy with scissors cutting up cardboard that seemed to glue itself together just by touching the edges - there was some kind of spiky pink polyhedron about a foot across that he was just finishing, and I was helping with the cardboard models - I think I was trying to twist a big (2m x 0.5m) sheet of yellow cardboard into a loop with a double twist which seemed to be physically impossible, the cardboard was wobbling about all over the place.
Sammo then started making weird noises with his mouth to accompany the music, and I started too (forgetting all about the cardboard) - we were stretching and poking our cheeks with our fingers, wobbling and flapping them about, they were extra stretchy cheeks that we could almost tie in knots. It sounded like DJs scratching combined with duck noises, maybe DJs scratching with natural history vinyl.
Then all of a sudden we were flying around in circles around the main hall of the mall held aloft by brightly coloured helium balloons, but swooping up and down. I could feel the inertia of my body being pulled about as we turned and swooped, that giddy light feeling you get when you drop as you go over a hump backed bridge too quickly. All through this dream I was really really happy and up, and to top it all off I saw an ice cream store and I thought "Yes! I want icecream!".
At that point I heard my mother's voice cutting through into the dream saying "you can't have icecream, that's a fish and chip shop, now be a good boy and come along" and I suddenly felt a little sad and confused, realizing I was not flying around a mall, and that I was probably having extreme hallucinations and not really aware of what was really happening, and then I woke up.
It was the most vivid and exciting and fun dream I can ever remember having, full of bright colours and music and laughter, the end kinda sucked though but that was just a tiny fragment of the whole dream.
I rate this dream an 10
